It's all over;- the thoughts tormented her mind. She closed her eyes , took a deep breath and was ready to give in. I mean what a normal girl can do defeat 3 powerful vampires ? "Get away from her!" Sam's voice was heard sounding more of a roar than a shout. Definitely cought the attention of the vampires , they turned they heads to look at him. "CRACK!!!" The breaking sound of bones followed. It's Sam , he's changing . He is transforming. The vampires couldn't even let him fishing they lunged for him. Non the less he was faster. The transformation was complete.

he said. "I know we still have a long way to go," Rebecca said. "But I feel like we can get through anything, as long as we have each other." Sam nodded in agreement. "I feel the same way," he said. "And we have to thank Samantha. Without her, we might never have found our way back to each other." Rebecca smiled and leaned her head on Sam's shoulder. "She really is something special," she said. "I'm so glad she's in our lives." Sam put his arm around Rebecca and pulled her close. "Me too," he said.

"Fine, keep your secrets. Just focus on the Chevy before you waste the entire afternoon daydreaming about your girlfriend." Girlfriend. The word still felt new, despite how long Sam had been part of my life. I smiled to myself as I returned to work, losing myself in the familiar routine of fixing broken things. My phone buzzed an hour later with a text from Sam. { Busy later? May's working late. Thought we could continue your education.. } My body responded immediately to the implied invitation. Fuck, I was like a hormonal middle schooler around her now. { definitely not busy. your place or mine? }

Gritting my teeth, I used the last of my money to buy a cheap plane ticket and went to look for her. What I saw was Samantha in Zane's arms, kissing him deeply beneath a tree. When they parted, he gently tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear. They looked at each other and smiled, their eyes filled with starlight. The spring breeze passed by. The streetlamp glowed dimly. Maple leaves rustled softly. They looked like a painting, like a poem written entirely of tenderness. I went mad. I rushed over and tore them apart, then smashed the cup I was holding into Zane's face.

He said to Samantha. Noah moved on and Sam was shocked. “Who are her parents really? Seems like they had a lot of connections even in the police force.” “No wonder she was so confident.” Sam muttered and Noah chuckled. “You need to eat and sleep Sam, we still have a long way to go.” Sam was about to protest but she realized that she really needed the food, besides the milkshake would be almost warm by now. “I don’t think I can sleep though.” She said as she tore off the wrap on the burger and bite into it.

I wanted to explain everything, to tell her that it wasn't just a preservation mode but the freezing mode. Nancy had secretly tempered with the settings, but even until the moment she left, I couldn't manage to form a complete sentence. It was too cold here, and I was gagged. All the words I wanted to say stayed trapped in my throat. I glanced at Sam, who looked mentally unstable, and found it almost funny in a twisted way. 'Sam, I've given you back my life. What else are you dissatisfied with?' I mused.

As she speaks, I can’t tell if it’s Annabelle she expected more from — or me. She turns briefly to Sam. “Sam,” she says softly, “didn’t you tell me this morning that you’re training to become a real warrior?” Sam nods eagerly. “Yes!” “How about,” she continues, “you get ready to give me a little demonstration later?” His eyes widen with excitement. “Really?” he shouts, and before anyone can answer, he jumps off his chair. “But don’t come and watch until I’m completely ready!” he calls over his shoulder as he runs out into the hall.

She spent most of her days locked in her room; drinking till she was asleep and I didn’t feel I was the right person to talk to her because of what I knew. No matter the unidentified feelings I had towards her, I was grateful that I was able to meet a wonderful person like Charlie. Charlie might be a personality but she was real to everyone and so were Charlie’s feelings towards us. I entered the room where Sam was perfectly the cure to the infection and leaned on the door before he dropped what he was doing and turned back. “I’ve perfected the spell.” Sam said as he turned back. “I was done with it yesterday but I was busy.” I could clearly see the conflicted look in his eyes. We didn’t hav

But Sam’s eyes aren’t yellow like the last time I saw him transform—they’re a fine turquoise, like the sky. “Good timing, little brother. You’ve become the Alpha,” Mark infers, eyes fixed on Sam. “Really?… I can’t believe it,” Sam’s anguished voice now firm, confident, full of excitement and joy. “Father would be proud,” Mark tells him, teeth bared in what I swear is a smile. Sam looks at me, advancing with satisfaction, almost flying with happiness. Suddenly, we reach a clearing—the same one I crossed before. “We’re close,” I whisper, barely audible, hiding behind a tree.

“I guess it is a good thing that you drug me up the stairs when you did. It would be a real shame if I lost my temper my first day here.” Tanner raised up, his face red from laughing so hard “Don’t get me wrong, I would love to see you give her a piece of your mind. But Sam is one of our strongest female warriors. She is a lot taller than you. I really don’t want to see you get hurt. Plus, she is only acting that way because you are prettier than her. She is afraid Gabriel is going to show someone else more attention than her.” I stared at Tanner. I was shocked that he would write me off so quickly, before even seeing me in training. I decided against telling him just how easily I could knoc
