She kept petting and caressing him before pulling back. "Let's go," She whispered, grabbing his mane as she got on top of him. She patted her Beast lovingly who galloped through the air into the dark forest as she grinned, opening her arms wide and letting the cold air sweep past her. She felt free. Beast was her only best friend in this world. She had shared almost everything in her life with him. One thing he said was certain: he was no human. How could he change eye color so quickly unless he was a beast? The Prime Beast was hardly unnerved by the sight of a mob rushing at it. It bared its four fangs, snarling savagely and took a swipe at an incoming Zhou Li. But he couldn't speak around the shame choking him. "Sena, please," Thane begged. "Don't watch this. Go back upstairs." But she didn't move. She just stared at Kael, and through their bond he felt her confusion. Her growing horror. "Begin," Klaus said. Two Alphas shifted into their wolf forms. Massive beasts with claws like daggers and fangs that could tear through steel. They circled him slowly, and Kael forced himself to stay still. He deserved this. He deserved worse. The first strike came without warning.
