The alpha is too strong, and I’ve been bested. Two other men suddenly appear in the space, and Alpha Aleksandr releases me while the three of them corner me, preventing any chance of escape. The alpha commands me to shift and I’m surprised that his command still affects me, even as a rogue, but I’m able to resist. He commands me again, and this time he’s put his full strength behind it, and I’m unable to resist. My body begins to shift without my permission, and my mind races with the possibilities of what will happen next. Will he be angry? Will he be surprised? Will he be happy to see me, alive and well, or will he even recognize me?

He bowed and walked out of the room. Things hadn't been going well recently. Several of my shipments had been missing, my men were being killed like flies everyday, my family were being threatened, and I had been called to war by an unknown enemy. Just then, a knock came through my door, and that girl that had claimed to be the new cool, came through the door. She carried a tray, and I watched her intently as she walked closer to me. As she tried to drop it on the table, I stopped her.

But another two were already standing there blocking my way. My eyes widened as my hands curled into fists. No, no, no! This isn't happening! What should I do now? When I tried to pass them, they pushed me back. "Let me go!" I hissed. They didn't leave then, they knew I was here. They were waiting for me to come out. They set a trap for me and I got stuck in that. One of the guards before me smirked. "We'll. But to the heavens, not anywhere else."

He plunged the celestial silver dagger into my arm. I screamed, thrashing against the chains. He wasn’t stabbing me randomly—he was carving something into my flesh. The pain was unbearable. I slipped in and out of consciousness, the room spinning around me. Finally, it ended. I gasped, looking down at my arms and legs. On my left arm, carved in blood and pain, was the word 'Rogue.' On my right arm, 'Luna.' On my left leg, 'Tenebrosi.' And on my right, again, 'Luna.'

The way my skin tingled at the touch, the electricity that pulsed through me, it was all too much. As I walked, I realized the restaurant was packed; they must be hosting an event or something. In the parking garage next to the restaurant, I felt my mate bond tingle. It was the first time in months I felt anything from it. I turned and started walking into the garage. That’s when I heard the voices, “Hey, pretty lady, why don’t you be a good girl and cooperate.” “Please don’t hurt me, I’m pregnant.” That voice belongs to Mel. I started running towards the sound, and for the first time in months outside of the training field, I shifted.

The man with the slanted eyes said, "Yes. She was a sudden acquisition, so you haven't seen her yet." The man walked toward me. He reached out to remove the burlap sack from my head. Just then, Charles spoke softly, "Go!" The second the burlap sack was removed from my head, I whipped out the dagger and kicked the man in his abdomen. Caught unaware, he stumbled a step backward. I held him in a chokehold and held the dagger against his cheek. The tip of the blade dug into his skin. A small trail of blood flowed down. Charles had also subdued the man with the slanted eyes as well.

I was a little embarrassed. "What? Why are you still sitting there?" "I can't get up just yet, angel," Jeremy said. "And why not? I'll help you up!" I growled. "Really?" "Of course!" He gestured at himself, and I looked at where he pointed. I saw a huge tent in his pants. Then, I glared at him. "You pervert!" "Don't worry, angel. I'll only be a pervert to you." He gave me an amorous look.
