“I need you to capture a rogue for me. This area reeks of them, one has to be close.”
Joey glances at me, clearly unsure if it’s a good idea, but he doesn’t argue. Instead, he mutters for me to stay put and disappears into the forest.
No longer than ten minutes later, Joey returns, dragging a rogue by the collar of a torn shirt. “Found one.”
I push myself off the tree and stagger closer to them, eyes focused on the rogue, “you will lead us to Vesper.”
The man laughs, but before he can argue, I growl, “remember that I hold a plague in the palm of my hand, I don’t mind watching you die—slower and more painfully than others.”
