Brown commented once he looked over Turner’s shoulder to see the address, his comment pissing Baxter off slightly that this man would question him. “I know very well who the Yates are and what power they hold, that is why I need to keep a watchful eye on them, something I hold close to my chest and something I want to keep that way could be threatened by that family so, I’m sending my best working dogs over to check.” Baxter responded with a look of anger to Brown before that something close to his chest filled his mind again, he didn’t know why, but each time she invaded his thoughts, they became softer in some way, as though she had that effect on him.

“I have to pick up my little sister immediately, so state your business.” “You have to spend the next two hours with me,” I grinned. “I'm sure we could have some innovative conversation.” His lips perked up in amusement. “What Baxter are you?” “Kayla Baxter. Only daughter from the second family.” “Not even the main family,” he chuckled. “I see no reason why I should give you the time of the day.” I chuckled and shook my head. The jabs about being from the second family has never hit except when it came from Selene.

"This looks delicious, baby." The three of us settled in bed for a well-deserved breakfast. Michael and I caught Samantha up on what's been happening. With Boraxip finding his other siblings and the inevitable war. With Bastian and what's been happening with him and Marct. With me seeing Karen and Monde coming to my rescue. She'd immediately felt guilt for not being there for me when I needed her, promising to have handled Karen accordingly. Apparently, she was too drunk to take notice of what was happening around her.

She wondered why King Theodore would keep picking on her community and the entire werewolf pack. "King Theodore, await your waterloo." Karen said to herself as she trained. During these families entire stay with the packs, Diana was disappointed with how Karen's stepmother and her daughter Jamie treated Karen. Even when they tried so hard to hide their hate, Diana saw through it. "Emilia, can I see you for a minute?" Diana told Karen stepmother when she passed by their building. "Okay, my lady." Karen's stepmother answered Diana. "I noticed and sensed how you treated Karen since you came to be with the packs…" Diana started.

“I never claimed to be an angel, Ms. Baxter. You have been forewarned.” With her heart thudding painfully in her chest, she replied. “What do you mean?” “Do not disobey me, Ms. Baxter. Remember who you belong to and we will have no problems. Do not meet, talk, or flirt with another man behind my back. And don’t you ever question my decisions?Understood?” Kara trembled. She sniffed and opened her mouth to take huge gulps of hair. Slowly, she nodded.

Katie says, “he’ll be reporting back.” “Baxter is the Estate Manager,” I tell Aiden., and then, because he feels puzzled even if he doesn’t look it outwardly, I add “Like a farm manager, not like someone who handles wills and things. He makes sure the grass gets cut and the fences get mended and the hay gets made, that sort of thing.”

As for Alpha Ron, he stood there cluelessly, wondering why this place was important. After the inspection was over, we returned to our cars. “Madeline, I’ve arranged a dinner for you and the kids, and I was hoping you’d like to join me and my family,” Alpha Ron uttered. I nodded, accepting his offer. “Baxter, please come along, okay?” He patted Baxter’s puffed-up biceps before walking away to his car. “His family?” I asked. Baxter got into the car, adjusting his seatbelts. “He’s not married. He lives with his grandmother now. The rest of his family passed away, but he’s very close to Lady Riva,” Baxter explained, turning around to check on the kids.
