I dragged myself back in front of the mirror, nails digging into my palm until I could taste blood in the air, just so I could keep myself anchored. "I'll say it again. One plus one equals three. Pi is an integer. It's four! You hear me? It's four! Between two points, the curve is the shortest path. Yeah, the curve is the shortest!" I laughed in between my words. "The sum of the interior angles of a triangle… is 360 degrees. Yeah, 360!" I started hallucinating. Wrong formulas crawled out of my books like black insects, swarming across the pages before burrowing into my ears and nose.

Hunter asked him, referring to what might be writing or symbols on the map. “Not that I can tell,” Gage answered, bending even closer. “Numbers maybe? The writing’s fucking awful.” “I think it’s a triangle,” Khalia suddenly murmured. All three of them bent their heads closer to squint at the map and the lines set amid the other symbols. “I see it,” Hunter said at last, mentally connecting the three biggest dots. “What are those down at the bottom, numbers?” Khalia enlarged the image again to read them better despite the blur, and gasped a moment later. “It’s trig.”

Thank God I'm wearing sport shoes. The driver takes us through The Masai Mara where we see leopards, lions, cheetahs and other big cats. Antelopes are also galloping from side to side and the beautiful tall giraffes are also walking gracefully. This is the animal kingdom. Why the fuck didn't I carry my phone? But thank God Trent didn't forget to carry a camera. He'll send the photos through. The game ranger explains that buffaloes are not numerous due to their migration to the border country, Tanzania because of the season. I'm just staring at the beautiful zebras. Wish I could pet one even though I'm not a fan of pets.
