"Don't say I didn't warn you " "Bring it on." The troll hissed and they all charged at one another, their fists and kicks flying all around as their sounds reverberated through the island.

When the man began talking, it felt like he was covering her body in warm honey. "I must apologize to you. I'm Alpha Gunnar of The Shadow Howlers. My head warrior showed me evidence that you had been kidnapping humans. When I looked closer at the evidence, I couldn't determine if what he said was true, so I wanted to do more investigating. Omar?" Alpha Gunnar looked at the warriors, and the large one in front stepped forward, his neck bare in submission. "Yes, alpha." He answered in more of a growl. "Why have you set out to destroy this pack?" Gunnar asked. However, it wasn't Omar who answered.

And this time, ‘he’ is here to ensure minimal damage, as he promised to the other Lords. Trolls marched to the capital walls, their heavy boulder-like feet sending tremors and quakes for miles. Accompanying the trolls are the organized human army, townspeople from the outskirts trained to become their soldiers in exchange for food and shelter to them and their families who were unfit to fight, such as pregnant women, the elderly, or children. The human army was armed with sabers and steel armor, like true soldiers.

His face is pale, eyes wide. “They’re massing,” he says quickly. “Multiple waves, coming from the northeast ridge. Trolls… and the black-eyed wolves.” For a second, everything in me freezes. “How many?” I ask, my voice steady even though my heart’s hammering. “Too many to count from our range,” the scout says. “At least two groups of trolls already crossing the ravine. The wolves are trailing behind—hundreds of them.” Theron swears under his breath. “Damn it. That’s not a scouting group. That’s a full-on march.”

Both of his claws extended out as he slashed one of the men. Instead of tossing his body away, he ripped his insides out as blood spurts on his face but he was smiling. The looks on the faces of his enemies were magnificent. They looked terrified. Hunter's men shifted into their wolf form as they lunged at the enemies. Including Hunter, there were only four of them while the enemies were nine in number.

"Let's get those damn trackers out of us." We waited an extra day, just in case more came. The mountain remained eerily quiet, the snow undisturbed except for the tracks we had left behind. By the time the sun began to dip behind the trees, casting long shadows across the frozen ground, we were packing up and heading down. The whole thing felt wrong. Orin. Jade. Werewolf hunters turning into what they hunted? All of it felt off. What was the point of it all? The truck came into view, buried under a layer of snow, and I couldn’t have been happier to see it.

All of the Hunters held their breath as they saw three more trolls emerge from the depths of the cave, bearing their fangs and growling. “What the heck…” Paul spoke with a hint of fear in his voice. GROAH!! “Hyah!” Kim yelled while rushing at the trolls. “Wait, Kim!” Paul shouted, trying to stop him. “Tch!” Paul ran after him. Herman also followed them. “Wait, all of you-!” Yuki couldn’t complete her sentence. “We have to help them! Yuki, fire your arrows! [Strengthen]! [Light Feet]!” Mel started casting spells to buff her teammates.

Then a dozen feral werewolves and human hunters ran roughly in a rush towards them, and the family of trolls appeared fighting a desperate battle to stay hidden from the feral wolves, running wild, destroying, and tearing each other apart to take cover and to stay alive. Moreover, with the feral wolves, the chaos built up until no one knew what was going on, and the only thing left to do was run away. The family of trolls had been attempting to keep themselves and a few others alive, or withstand their ground and die as the dark land and their hidden dwellings burned around them with hostility and screams of the fallen.
