Was he another cocky asshole like Lucas? Another brooding jerk like Rowan? Or something else entirely? But mostly, I just hoped I never ran into him. The red button was gone. And I was sitting in the chair. My hands were duct-taped to the keyboard. My eyes were held open by the metal clips.

Phoebe shook her head and I froze in my seat. “Those girls always operate at dinner time, they've been too consistent with their killings” Daphne said. “Well, well, well, what do we have here?” A deep voice called and I looked up from my food to find the handsome guy from earlier staring at me with a smirk plastered on his face. “What do you want now?” Phoebe scoffed, rolling her eyes. “I'm not here for you” Cillian chuckled before coming to sit beside me and I watched Phoebe's brows furrow and she clutched her spoon very tight.

“Alright, your dad loves money. If you really care about him, just accept the money and end this.” My expression darkened. I was about to speak when her phone rang. “Ms. Ford, where are you? They have been questioning me for so long and will not let me eat. I am so hungry that I feel dizzy. I cannot even stand.” Jessie accidentally pressed the speaker button, and Shane’s aggrieved voice filled the air. She tightened her grip on her phone, looking worried. “Wait for me. I will go back right now.” After hanging up, she looked at me again with a serious expression. “Liam Charleton, I am giving you one last chance. Are you going to sign this settlement agreement or not?”
