LOGIN“What,
"What just happened?” I asked, my voice trembling and Phoebe scoffed.
“She's a dragon of course” she rolled her eyes and my lips moved but no words came out. Daphne narrowed her eyes at me and suddenly grabbed my hands, pulling me towards the door and I reluctantly went with her while still shaking. Daphne pushed the door open, I couldn't deny, she was strong and the way she held my hand right now, like she could snap it. Once we were outside in the quiet halls and Daphne turned to me.She looked at my trembling form from head to toe before looking at my eyes.
“You're human aren't you?” She asked and I stared at her baffled. “Of course I'm human!” I replied before watching her eyes “aren't you?” I asked, and suddenly a cold feeling passed through my bones. “This is a school for monsters, no one here is human” as she said this I froze, suddenly feeling nauseous. I grabbed my head, it was spinning."W...what?" my vision blurred before me, the tiredness and frustration was finally getting to me.
“Some people already know you are human, but not everyone, including Phoebe,” Daphne informed.
“I…I have to get out of this place” I cried, clutching my head. “You can't leave that easy, sometimes the headmistress allows human students, but they never last a semester” Daphne said and I swallowed hard, my hands shaking. “W..what happens to them?” I asked and Daphne just stared at me. “Just keep pretending like you're something” Daphne shrugged. “Like what!” I asked, starting to panic. I knew they was something off with this place but the last thing I expected were supernatural creatures. “Say you're a dhampir” she informed me and I stared at her in genuine confusion. “Half vampire and half human, you'll just say you're human side is more dominant okay?” Daphne informed me and I nodded. She moved closer to me and I instinctively stepped back. “Never admit to anyone that you're human, you hear me?” She asked staring deep into my eyes and I nodded rapidly. She gave me a small smile and led me back inside the dining room. For some reason I felt like I was being watched. When we came back inside, Phoebe had moved ahead. We rushed to meet her and soon it was our turn. Daphne's meal mainly consisted of sea food while Phoebe's food was piping hot. When it reached my turn the cook just stared at me. “What do you have?” I asked. “What can you eat?” She asked, eyeing me as if trying to figure me out. “Anything ” I said and she stared at me before nodding. She placed white rice and then vegetable sauce and three pieces of chicken. I smiled and she smiled back at me. I went to sit beside my roommates who had began eating. The door opened and two people walked in, a girl and a guy. She had her hand wrapped around his elbow as she clinged to his forearm. I recognised her, she was the creepy girl I had met in the bathroom. As I watched her, I couldn't help but try to think of what creature she was. The guy she was walking beside, he was the one I had bumped into in the hallway. She cackled at something he said before they walked up to the cook. “I thought no one is meant to come in after dinner time?” I asked as the two had just walked in casually. “That rule is just a safety precaution because anything is allowed once it's dinner time and you're not here” Phoebe explained but I was still confused. “It means someone can kill you and it's legal as long as you're outside the dinner room at dinner time” Daphne emphasised giving me a warning look and I nodded. “I heard Alicia and her crew killed someone last week” Phoebe shook her head and I froze in my seat. “Those girls always operate at dinner time, they've been too consistent with their killings” Daphne said. “Well, well, well, what do we have here?” A deep voice called and I looked up from my food to find the handsome guy from earlier staring at me with a smirk plastered on his face. “What do you want now?” Phoebe scoffed, rolling her eyes. “I'm not here for you” Cillian chuckled before coming to sit beside me and I watched Phoebe's brows furrow and she clutched her spoon very tight. “Hello again new student” Cillian's smile broadened as he faced me, he was too close. “H..Hi” I said and slapped my mouth. I was planning on ignoring him, I wondered what kind of monster he was. “I can't be ignored,” he smiled tilting his head to one side. “You either do what I want, or I make you do what I want” he whispered in my ear and I felt goosebumps rise on my skin. His voice... “Are you enjoying your meal?” He asked and I nodded rapidly. “Come on, talk to me” He sighed leaning closer, he was damn too close. I caught a whiff of his cologne, he smelt like the earth and there was a little metallic scent. “Just leave her” Phoebe groaned and he turned to look at her for a brief second frowning before he turned back to face me. “I'll see you around later, maybe when we won't be interrupted" he smiled again before standing up and leaving the table. Once he was gone, I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. “That's Phoebe's ex” Daphne spilled. “What the hell!” Phoebe glared at her, she looked uncomfortable for some reason and I just stared at her, she was so pretty and he was so handsome, they would have been perfect. “What, it's not like the whole school doesn't know” Daphne scoffed. “There's no place the two of them haven't f****d” Daphne admitted with a laugh and I spilled the water in my mouth not expecting that information and Phoebe's eyes glowed a warm amber as her cheeks flushed. “Shut up Daphne!” She shouted but Daphne just kept laughing. “Why did you guys break up?”I asked genuinely curious but she just stared at me. “I'm sorry, I'm being nosy and…. “He found someone else... maybe,” she sighed. “He said he couldn't stay committed so he broke up with me” Phoebe smiled a sad one. I could tell she still liked him. “But he didn't cheat, he let you know” I smiled a sad one as I remembered my ex who had cheated on me not long after my birthday, with my bestfriend. “He has slept with a quarter of the population of girls” Daphne shook her head.“Whore” she muttered under her breath but we heard her and three of us laughed.
Ember blows her whistle after giving instruction and we begin the exercises. I groaned as I stretched to the other side and Cillian gives me a cheeky smile. I turn to the other side turning away from him and notice Raphael staring at me.I give him a confused look but he doesn't bother to break eye contact, his partner waves at me blowing a kiss. Jenna.Ember blows her whistle and taps Lucian on the back, he groaned and begrudgingly began to demonstrate the next routine. This goes on for a while and I pause to catch my breath, the monsters don't feel as tired as I do. I force myself to continue not wanting to raise suspicion. Suddenly I feel arms wrapped around my waist and I tense and squeal, turning to find Cillian behind me, I barely maintain eye contact with the handsome vampire before looking away.Ember and Lucian are demonstrating the next exercise, Ember grabs his waist and pulls backwards as hard as she can while Lucian pulls forward rather lazily.I turn to look at Cillian
It was the Saturday of my first week here, I remembered what the dragons announced on one of the assembly days, sports will be held on Saturday.I had come to observe that the dragons were the highest ranking creatures, people naturally respected them, some say they are one of the oldest creatures and naturally created while the rest were born from magic or a curse.I watched as Phoebe dolled herself up once again, a habit I had gotten used to, she would spend hours in the bathroom, scrub, shave and apply a whole load of make up.Daphne was already dressed for sports, her navy blue shorts hugged her hips revealing her thick thighs but her shirt was baggy, falling over the shorts , letting it peak out.“We're so going to be late” Daphne groaned and I pulled out my sportswear. I had just gotten out of the shower and still had my towel wrapped around me and my hair yet to dry.I held up the grey shirt in front of me. I grabbed a sports bra and pulled the shirt on, but it hooked on my neck
It has been a week since I arrived at Bridgeford high, I've tried to avoid danger best I can. Daphne gives me survival tips everyday, while Phoebe tries to make me seduce my professor.I just left the dining room after having breakfast, the halls were buzzing with people here and there. I kept walking until I heard a scream and watched as people gathered around a particular spot.I rushed to the scene, trying to push through the crowd. Due to my frame, I was pushed every which way until I somehow made it to the front and stood my ground. I pushed in a little and found two people fighting, Rapheal and another guy. Raphael is on top the guy and he lands another punch across the guy’s jaw drawing blood.“Raph stop!” Jenna cried trying to pull him off but he ignored her, drew his hand back and landed another heavy punch. This time I hear a sound like bone cracking and I'm forced to look away.“What's going on here!” The headmistress’ voice thundered and we scattered like flies, leaving R
It's darker now and I become more conscious of my environment, what if those girls came out of the shadows again?Thankfully we safely made it to the end of the halls and unto the stairs.“Thank you sir” I said with a curt nod and he stared at me, then turned to look at the top stairs before walking away, not saying anything. My eyes darted to look in his direction to find the headmistress standing on the stairs.. “All students should be at the dining hall. Are you looking to start trouble, Miss Martins?” She asked, giving me a grim look.“No…no, of course not” I fumbled my words, if there was someone I was completely scared of, it was the headmistress.“To the dining room” she commands and I run downstairs heading towards the dining.I enter the doors and look towards the line, it's very short. I quickly join up, trying to gather my thoughts.“Three feet back” a voice said in front of me and I looked up confused and saw Raphael glaring down at me.“Three feets back” he repeats looki
I successfully made it to the second floor, the sun had already gone down and the evening breeze was cool. I stared down the hallway, a feeling of ptsd hitting me. But I knew I had to move, I already had classes here this morning, how hard could it be?I heard the clicking of a door and I froze, the hair on my skin standing.I see Mr Alister walk through the door of our classroom and he's heading straight for me. A few students are passing by, but most have retired to their rooms. My eyes meet his and he holds them, not bothering to look away. The way he stared at me, there was such a longing, if I didn't know any better, I would say it's desire. I had packed my black curly hair in a high pony tail and had Phoebe do light make up, which just consisted of powder and lip gloss, she didn't let me leave otherwise.“G…good evening sir” I greeted.“C…..Avery” he sighed and took a whiff of the air before his eyes landed back on me, the rims of his pupils glowing amber.“I wondered how long
“Take a seat anywhere, Avery” he said gesturing with his hands and I moved glad to be away from the spotlight and try to decide on the three empty seats. I spot one towards the window and hurry towards it. I recognised the face of the person sitting behind the seat, it was the guy with stormy eyes in the hallway and he eyed me warily.I sat on my seat, trying to calm my racing heart when the seat behind me screeched.“Raphael what is it?” The professor asked.“I can't sit here, change my seat” he demanded and I swallowed.“There's nothing wrong with your seat Rapheal, sit down” the professor commanded, clearly not appreciating his tone.“If you don't change my seat, I'll leave. I cannot sit here” he repeated and I scrunched my eyebrows. Did he have a problem with me?I turned to look back at him, his stormy eyes already glaring at me. He suddenly grabbed his bag and walked away, evading me totally. He walked to one of the empty seats and plops down.I suddenly feel weird and the peop
