And then I noticed it, the way the other one lowered his eyes slightly. I frowned. “She’s okay, right? And the baby too, right?” The taller officer cleared his throat. “We found Beth dead.”

I talked to Beth this morning and she seemed fine. "I don't do things in half measures." She said. "But if you really want proof then by all means I'll give it to you." A minute later my phone vibrated with a message and I quickly checked it and saw that it was a photo so I checked it and I literally died when I saw Beth and her friend Jules tied to chairs and their mouths gagged. "Proof enough? It's not photoshopped or whatever either." She told me. "You have twenty four hours my sweet or your beloved Queen, your babies and her bestie will become citizens of the land of the dead just like that bitch and you know I don't bluff."

I scream at him, as I cross my arms tightly over my chest "I don't have short-term memory loss, I know what I did," he says snottily, crossing his arms back at me "Why I outta," I lift my fist taking a step towards him "Alright, violence will do nothing," a woman stops us, she had brown wavy hair cascading down her body to her elbows and a golden flower crown on his head with brown eyes, but boy, she was glowing and so beautiful, definitely a Goddess.

“Yeah. It is cheesy coming from you.” My heart hurts seeing her like this in the infirmary bed. “The director said you will heal soon but your memories of the torture—” Beth gives me a bright smile. “I’m going to be fine, Taylor. The sincerity in them rendered me speechless for a second or two. “Thanks, Beth.” “How did he die? If you don’t mind me asking.” Someone ripped out his heart from his chest. “Peacefully. In his sleep.” “That’s good to hear,” she replied. I ran a hand over my face, wishing the memory that popped up would disappear. Beth placed a hand on the door’s handle, and my heart missed a beat. “Thanks for the ride. And the food,” she said. One foot was out of the car when I tapped her knee. “I didn’t forget. Cancel the date, Beth.”

I sucked in a Breath then made my way to the door. “Clarissa,” Bethel’s voice made me kill a step, I twirled round to meet a sobbing bethel and it broke my heart to see the all cheerful bethel that way “I am not angry at you neither do I hate you but ken just died and we both know the reason for that so please understand if I say I can’t face you. At least for now” her voice sounded like she was pleading matching with the gloomy look in her eyes. I sniffed and with one nod I was out of the house. At least I’m happy now that I could get to see bethel.

It came too sudden and unexpected. “What… what do you mean?” Aunt Elsie asked, her voice trembling. “Is Dwayne truly dead? And Ciara —is she going to be okay?” Dr. Bethany paused for a moment before answering. “I know this is a lot to take in,” Dr. Bethany said, her voice soft and compassionate. “Let's try to take things one step at a time. First, I want to reassure you that while Dwayne's death is indeed a tragedy, we don't yet know what happened. We will need additional information before we can come to any conclusions.”
