Save your words for others.” She moved forward and stood in front of Beth. Xavier smiled not because he was successful in irritating Bella, but because of the red pendant around Bella’s neck. Alexander was becoming very protective of Bella day by day.

Bella’s POV Suddenly, Aunty Valerie appeared, her calm demeanor a stark contrast to the chaos around us. "Max, Bella, is everything well?" she inquired, her eyes scanning our expressions. I exchanged a glance with Max, unsure of how much we should reveal. "We're fine, aunty. The immediate threat has been neutralized," Max replied, his voice guarded. Aunty Valerie's gaze lingered on Max's wheelchair, her expression thoughtful. "Max, dear, why are you still in a wheelchair? You know Bella has the ability to accelerate healing. It would speed up your recovery."

"Go wash your face and brush your teeth. I'll meet you in the kitchen." After he left, I looked at Maya with tears in my eyes. "What if he's figured it out? What if he knows Tom is his?" "Then he knows," Maya said gently. "And you'll deal with it. But Bella, look at what he's doing. He's protecting you both without demanding anything in return. I rolled my eyes, gently pushing his hands away as soon as I was able to stand on my feet again. "You'd never understand how much I'm trying to make all of this right Bella, protecting means protecting the people. If they should ever get that would be the end of us, they would use you for their evil purposes!! They would do the unexpected and that would affect everybody!!! Us!" I crossed my arms with a scoff, looking away.

Lucas murmured into her hair, his voice low and soothing as he held her close. Bella nodded against his chest, her hands gripping the fabric of his jacket as if she were afraid to let go. “Thank you,” she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion. “Thank you for everything.” Lucas pulled back just enough to look into her eyes, his hands still resting on her waist. His gaze was intense, filled with something that made Bella’s pulse quicken. “I told you I’d protect you,” he said softly, his voice low and filled with promise. “I meant it.”

My objective is to find a sleeping pill, not to harm Bella, but to provide her with a peaceful and restful slumber that will last forever. That’s right, Bella needs to sleep forever for me to go back to Austin. As her twin sister, it pains me to entertain this idea, but circumstances have left me with no other choice. Bella, being my twin, shares a deep connection with Austin, my mate. This connection could potentially lead to them becoming mates themselves and I cannot bear that thought.
