What fairytale title could I possibly give this whole experience? The funny thing is it still does not feel like it is over. In fact, it feels like I am stuck in the middle of it and it is far from ending.

The day had been long and tiring, full of unexpected events. I bent over to set the alarm for tomorrow and reached for my book. I have been engrossed in a collection of traditional fairytales with a mafia spin. They were captivating, and I cherished the quiet moments when I could indulge in reading them. Stephanie Swann was one of my favourite authors, and I loved the worlds she created in her books, especially the morally ambiguous male characters and fierce female leads. After devouring three chapters, I glanced at the clock and sighed in disappointment, realizing I would have to wait until tomorrow to read more.

Had she ever had a crush on anyone before? She wanted to fly away to her friends and bury her head in their laps. Everything had been fine moments before. Something had shifted when they’d locked eyes and now, Daffodil wished she didn’t have to see him. The Half-Fairy glanced down to look at the stack of books that had dwindled down to the two in her hand. She sighed. They’d been borrowed but she had misread where to place each. She would have to walk all the way back to find out if they were to be placed back in the shelves or kept aside on reservation for a student or staff.

The book instantly flicked to the page that said Chapter One. "Page one hundred thirty-six," he said again. Immediately, the pages flipped until they reached the said page. "Wow," I uttered. "Exactly. Inside this book is everything you'll ever want to know about fairies, including the downy fairy." He motioned around the room. "Under or beside each creature is a book that will teach you what you need to know about them, including how to help them, hunt them, and kill them." I couldn't help the shiver that ran down my body.

Both Torin and Cadac were laughing at me. "What?" I question them both. Torin turned me and my eyes widened at the numerous fairies fluttering about. "Fairies are real?" I gasp. "Yep, you drank fairy wine and now can see them for the night," Cadac chuckles. I smile and give him a hug, surprising him. Fairies weren't tiny either; they were the same size as an average human. I nodded at several and they giggled at me. This was too cool. "Be careful of the unseelie ones, they are dark-haired and, " Cadac stops mid-sentence.
