The back of my head scraped against the hallway wallpaper the entire way. When Grace pushed open the next door, her footsteps halted abruptly. Taking up an entire wall was a glass display cabinet, beautifully lit by warm LED strips. Neatly arranged across three tiers of shelves were my ball-jointed dolls. Every single one of them was dressed in high-end, hand-stitched clothing. Their hair was perfectly styled, and their eyes were made of various brilliant gemstones. They were exquisitely beautiful.

I try to make her explain. " okay Ma'am " she says sarcastically which shows that she has not believed a word of what I have told her. " Believe me Noami, one thing I know, that guy can't fall for a person like me. Ugly , uneducated ..fashion less.. " I say with a bit if sadness in my tone.

Many of the dolls missed Hugo due to the lack of aim by Alyssa, but some dolls managed to hit Hugo. Hugo remained still as she threw the dolls at him, accepting it like it’s his fate to be hit by these dolls. Alyssa yelled again before she threw the last doll at him, and it hit him square on his face again. Hugo saw the army of dolls from Alyssa’s side had dwindled, exactly no more left other than the cookie pillow. He then laid his body sideways on top of the dolls scattered around him, closing his eyes and his throat rumbled briefly.

Meilin nods, and begins the tale of the shameful part of her family, and hopes that the Queen doesn’t hate her when she is done. “He is the one that sold you?” Yuelan questions when the blonde finished her tale. She feels bad on behalf of the blonde, because no one deserves to be treated the way the blonde was treated. If she could she would abolish the doll law.
