Standing in front of me is Lucifer's bitch, who looks like a plier with a formidable smile on her face. Besides her stood General Zod, while the three other hefty beings stood behind him, and one of them was holding a bucket, which I guessed contained the remaining water.

Joy's body hits the wall and creates a giant dent and crack in the ceiling. "That girl you were sweet-talking was a potential Queen. She was a target. Why didn't you get rid of her?" Louejone crouches at the counter, his hand choking Joy to the wall. Yeli watches from the side, using her abilities to send spiders to spy on the said person. "I'm sorry, I thought she was just an aurum-" Joy squeaks as Louejone's grip tightens around her neck. "I'm putting you on death row." The man dismisses, letting go of Joy and letting her crash to the ground. Yeli and Louejone exit the shop, leaving a confused Jayson who just woke up and Joy crying on the floor.

The blood there had always been cold. "Lucian." I forced his name out of my throat, thin and hoarse. "Lucian, wake up. You can't die. What am I supposed to do if you die." His eyelids twitched, then slowly opened. Those once deep red eyes had turned a dull brown now, from the sealing of his power. He looked at me a long time, as if making sure I was still alive. "Nora." "I'm here." "You said separate, just now."

When it was almost time for Layla to blow the candles just before midnight, there were over a million viewers watching her livestream. With a party hat on her head, Layla had a bashful look on her face as she put her hands together. Meanwhile, everyone was doing the countdown. Just then, Brenda rushed into the room and grabbed Layla's arm. She smiled at her in a very strange way. "Hazel, when I saw you that day, Layla had already bludgeoned you to death and your dad had already dismantled your skeleton. "I only made a few cuts on your body. I'm sure it didn't hurt at all. So, don't come looking for me. Alright?"

“What type of poison” “Atropa belladonna. It was the same one found in your father’s autopsy. I believe their death is connected.” Nightshade poison. A deadly poison for a deadly organisation. I scramble closer. “What do you know Doctor?” Gail looks at me, hesitant. “Nothing much aside that I believe this is all connected to the inner circle.” The Inner Circle? This is the first time in ten years I’ve heard that name again. The last time was the day my father was buried.”

"Is this... a dream?" "No, Darren. I'm with you," I whispered and tried to stroke his face. But when I lifted my hand, I could only see a skeleton. I panicked, but Darren held me in his arms. "I thought it was a bad dream... But how could it be a bad dream... when you're in it..." He said in a soft voice. "Darren, are we dying?" I asked. "I'm already dead, Louisa..." He said and placed my hand in the empty hole in his chest. "But it's OK because you'll still be alive... You and your baby..."

She’s a psychotic walking doll. She’s chewing gum, her lips painted a deep shade of brown. Her long black claws are stupidly sharp as she wraps her gum around her tattooed finger before shoving it back into her mouth. “Ah, the grim reaper herself. What the fuck are you doing here?” I ask, my tone hostile. “Aww, didn’t you miss me?” she asks sickeningly sweetly. Layla looks between us, clearly wondering who she is. “Who… I’m Layla. Nice to meet you.”

All I could see as I sat there was her lifeless face staring up at me. A faint chuckle roused me from my thoughts, echoing maliciously off the stone. Across the cell, Yuri sat, his smirk unyielding—a viper basking in the poison of his own making. My promise whispered in the confines of solitude echoed fiercely in my mind: if death were to be my fate, I would drag Yuri down with me. I would kill him with my own hands and enjoy watching the life drain from him.
