Laughter erupted from one side of the room. For a moment, I simply sat there listening. Trying to focus on anything except the growing knot in my stomach. Then Aunt Margaret pointed her fork toward Adrian. “Oh, tell her about Rebecca.” The reaction was immediate because Adrian closed his eyes. “No.” Everyone laughed. My eyebrows lifted. “Who’s Rebecca?” I was eager to know now. “You don’t need to know.” He said but I could tell there was no going back. “She absolutely needs to know,” Aunt Margaret disagreed. I looked between them.

Caleb on the other side collapsed in the chair behind him. “You bitch, you've put us in trouble, that's my uncle and he has a bad temper,” he said, having found his tongue after such a long time.

So, uncle couldn't ask more such questions. Actually, Uncle isn't fiery or anything but he just looks a bit scary. He is a kind, caring, sweet husband and Dad. He loves his family dearly. Ty is his baby and he is a little overprotective of him. And I'm sure he is still a bit angry at Aaron for bullying Ty in the past. "C'mon..let's sit," Ty's Mom calls after she finishes arranging the dishes on the dining table. Aaron gets up from the couch, only after Uncle nods and walks to the table.

The Uncle held out his hand in front of Nora. The little girl shook her head with a sneer. "Come on, let your blood dry quickly, dear." "Ti Teya said you can't go with strangers!" said Nora. "Oh, you think Uncle is a foreigner?" the man laughed, a laugh that didn't reach his eyes, "Maybe Daddy hasn't introduced Uncle to you yet,that's why you think Uncle is a stranger. Even though Uncle is Daddy's friend. Anyone who comes to this ridiculous party is Daddy's friend. Don't you understand?"

My mouth feels itchy when I mention that woman's name. "What's with Phoebe?" My uncle asked, curious. "I know Uncle isn't stupid. Uncle must be aware that Grandma is trying to set you up with her." I replied flatly. My uncle shrugged with an unreadable expression. "So, does Uncle like her or not?" I asked again, pressing him. "Do I have to answer that?" He asked again. This is the difficulty of communicating with Gladwin Hampton; he often raises my blood pressure. I grumble to myself.

Little Terry looked at his uncle in surprise. "Uncle, are more crocodiles coming to the door? And telling you to get out? You tell *them* to get out first." Just hearing the voice, you knew who it was. Why was that Grand Uncle from the Reed family so annoying? A deep chill flickered in Gilbert’s eyes. "His skin is thick, and his methods are dark. He doesn't seem to understand the meaning of 'get out'." Gilbert had always known that Tony was a man without principles.

My uncle practically sprints out of the room like his life depended on it and slams the door closed. My legs are still locked around Zerrin's waist, and he let out a laugh, throwing his head back. I, on the other hand, did not find this funny at all. Instead, my face turned red from embarrassment at being caught fucking my Lord of all people. It is supposed to be a one-night thing with Lord Zerrin after all. "My uncle is probably scarred for life and so am I with the knowledge that he has seen me having sex." However, my embarrassment can wait until tomorrow. I didn't get my release and neither did my Master's.

He asked bluntly, leaving even angry Zara stunned. He got up, walking toward Kendrick, “Because from what I’ve noticed you’ve been doing the latter.” He leaned in whispering to Kendrick ear, “Don’t forget you are her ex-husband’s uncle.” Kendrick scoffed, shoving Ace’s hand off his shoulder, “Step Uncle.” He corrected in a whisper, then he rose facing Ace head on, “And, it’s not a taboo." The ladies stared in confusion, as their conversation became less and less audible.

Uncle. The word lands in the room like a small stone dropped in still water. I watch it happen in real time — Liam's polite, faintly amused expression, Joanna's easy confidence, the Colonel's fond smile. And something in my stomach does something entirely involuntary and entirely unwelcome. Uncle. She's calling him uncle because of the age gap and the formality, the way young people sometimes do in certain families. I know that. I know it's a cultural habit, a term of respect, not a claim.
