I nod and pull the stopwatch out of my pocket to start counting down the time as they enter. This team has two athletic alphas, a tall but uncoordinated beta, a thin but fast beta, and a red-haired tiny omega who looks super useless. I don't think I've seen her make a single facial expression or move with intention even once. The two more athletic alphas help the redhead while the others fend for themselves. They don't have much teamwork and they don't communicate at all.

As for the undead, they were divided into three stages: Deathness, Deathless, and Deathlessness. Deathness was the stage of recently converted undead, Deathless was the stage where ones who eventually evolved after consuming living souls or roamed long enough to absorb a vile amount of rotting energy to evolve, and finally was Deathlessness which was gotten by undead who had lived for millenniums while consuming souls. Only people with abilities as high as the kings or crazy dark horses like Genad could defeat such monsters which was why they were confident enough to be here in the first place. Such high-leveled undead were barely seen due to frequent taming from time to time by the Deadman

And hunters wanted to shroud werewolves in secrecy too, because chaos and panic weren't their cup of tea. But what unfolded before Celeste's eyes left her with a tinge of suspicion. Could it be that the hunters had formed an unholy alliance with other forces? Suddenly, another character sauntered in–a man who didn't quite fit the hunter mold, either. He sported a shiny bald head atop a portly frame. His eyes gleamed with a wicked twinkle, and his complete lack of lab attire only added to the enigma. Observing Kevin and Celeste, the bald man settled himself onto a leather chair, nonchalantly propping up his legs like a lord of leisure.

I hold onto a bookshelf, my head spinning. "It's a lot to take in," Alice says. "I know." I wipe my brow with the back of my hand. Did I really just accept that I'm a non-human? I laugh, but the sound is hollow. How could I be so stupid? Alice touches my shoulder. "It's okay. I know it's a lot, but you'll get used to it." I'm not sure I want to. "There are more than werewolves, though," she adds. "There are witches, and vampires, and succubi—"

“Andrius! Hurry and take him down! We can’t hold on much longer.” At that moment, Andrius heard Charles’ urging voice and could not help but be stunned. He turned around to look. The seven elders had the upper hand and were suppressing Charles and the others. “Andrius, these elders are undead, resurrected using a secret technique. They feel no pain, their strength has greatly increased, and their bodies resist our attacks, making it difficult to harm them. Hurry and injure Gareth to turn the tide!” Cedric also urged. It was clear the situation on the other side was precarious.

"And second, you really don’t have much of a choice here. Now be a good girl and listen." I swallowed the bile rising in my throat. He was right—I didn’t have a choice. "I don’t know if your brother told you this, but you’re no longer the Luna. You’re just an ordinary werewolf now. Your friends will explain the details. So, since you lost your mate, and I lost mine long ago... why don’t we come together as second-chance mates?" He winked. And I almost threw up at the sight "Don’t push your luck. You didn’t lose your mate, you murdered her. And there is no way—no damn way—I’m ever going to be mated to a monster like you."

"Now move." We marched forward, our steps growing heavier as the ruined Wall loomed ahead, closer now. And then I saw them; figures moving in the distance. Not alive. Not fully. Their shapes were distorted, twisted with the magic that still clung to this cursed land. Undead. Creatures that had been twisted into something far worse than death. Werewolves, half-decayed and stinking of rot, their eyes clouded with madness. They fought wildly, tearing into the southern pack, and beyond them, I saw more. A whole army of the dead.

The morning sun barely penetrated the haze of dust and decay that hung over the desolate campus. Shadows danced across the rubble-strewn ground as the tension in the air thickened. The group—Joseph, Luke, Mira, Collins, Jeff, Favour, and Sarah—stood trapped in a suffocating circle of fear. Akin stood at the center, flanked by his sentient zombie and a horde of undead, their vacant, lifeless eyes trained on their prey.

My heart sank, and I instinctively tried to step away, but he was already striding toward me. "Ella!" he shouted, his voice cutting through the chatter. "It's really you! You're not dead!" Everyone around turned to look. Their gazes were full of curiosity and scrutiny. I took a deep breath, forcing myself to calm down. "Signor, you've got the wrong person," I said coldly. "I'm Luna Kane, not Ella." "Wrong person?" Vincenzo laughed. His voice dripped with madness. "You can change your name, your hair, everything, but I know you. I'll never forget your eyes, your nose, and the corner of your mouth."
