Under Oak Tree Novels & Stories

Large ancient oak trees worked as astute wardens, encircling the field and providing a sense of protection and obscurity, as well as a nice area for any creatures to rest undisturbed but yet dangerous. His cap snagged on branches as he soared past the oak tree, darting around the birch trees' delicate black and white trunks. He came to a complete stop a meter away from the oak, but they were nowhere to be found. He took a cautious tour around the tree, his little feet stumbling over the awkward roots. He secretly hoped they were simply hiding, ready to burst forth with laughter and startle him. He shuddered. Obligichaun looked again, but the forest was empty.

Of course, they did not hear anyone talking because it was Nero who spoke. [Ohh??? So the tree can understand me???? Great! Hi there Old Oak...] Hearing someone calling him Old Oak as if they were old acquaintances, the talking oak tree harrumphed in displeasure. Old Oak?! Old Oak your head!!!! I might be old but I'm still more than capable to smash you into smithereens if you dare show disrespect to me!

There she was. Sat on a bench alone under an oak tree. There were three or four students loitered in Freedom park, most of the students must have gone home. A lot of oak trees were planted in this park that gave comforting shade to the students. Birds chirped transferring from one tree to another. Some of the trees were planted for almost a hundred years now. Orange clouds now appeared in the sky and the grayness of the area was illuminated faintly with the lamp posts.

Colton looks like he wants to walk into a tree. I shake my head, unable to stop the small smile tugging at my lips. “You two are terrible at lying.” Oakley beams. “Thank you.” “That wasn’t a compliment,” I say. “It felt like one,” he replies. Colton exhales slowly. “Let’s just… move on. The orchard is this way.” Oakley nods quickly. “Yes. Orchard. Trees. Fruit. No mysterious healer prophecies there.” Colton mutters, “Hopefully.”

Elara felt a prickle of awe, a sense of being in the presence of something truly extraordinary. They emerged into a small clearing, bathed in the ethereal glow of the moon. In the center, a gnarled oak tree stood sentinel, its branches reaching towards the heavens like skeletal fingers. Beneath its ancient boughs, the ground was carpeted with soft, dewy moss. Kael nudged her gently towards it, a clear invitation to rest.

How am I going to get out of here? Suddenly rain starts to fall. The flaming garden around me is filled with life by the water falling from the sky. I look to my left and notice a large oak tree with the biggest leaves I have ever seen. It looks exactly like the oak tree on our property. I feel a strange pull towards it almost like this tree knows who I am. Before I have a chance to get to the tree, I am awoken with a startle, my heart pounding. I am drenched in sweat.

He astral projected to the tree and saw that it had just missed the car. “That was close.” The driver said as he got out. “Come on and help me move it.” He told the others in the vehicle. It was a huge oak that looked like it has stayed up long past its years. The tree was partly hollowed in the middle as several animals scurried from inside it. If they had not made their home in its base it may have stood for another 100 years or more.

She reached out her hand to shake him back lightly as she knew that was coming but she wasn't entirely safe to that extent. She looked around the ground as she found the spot under the oak tree. The plot near the tulips was a good spot but she wasn't entirely sure that it would be suitable for what they had planned. “i think that we should do the planting by the oak tree over there. Oak trees are ever lasting in nature and they can grow many civilizations. They can help us to encourage long life.” She said to him and he hummed at her in response as they made their way over to the tree.

It was only when I noticed that my surroundings were darker I snapped back to reality and looked around. Oh… I looked at the dark forest and realized I was at the part where there were many natural trees. “Wow,” I whispered. These trees look so much better than the other ones. Is it because they had a natural growth? They’re thicker and feel more alive. I turned my head and my gaze fell upon the most majestic tree out of all. An oak tree. It was the thickest and biggest one of all the trees in the forest and its branches were spreading horizontally. It looked really cool and out of place. It made me wonder something.

I got out of bed and texted Aaron to tell him to meet me on the patio. The lightning and dark clouds frightened me. Why hasn't my fear of rain overcome me, even after I've already defeated that monster? Standing on my patio under the dark sky made me so afraid that I decided to go back inside. I'll meet him somewhere else this morning. I don't think it's a good idea to wait for him on the terrace. I turned around to go back to my room. That's when my gaze fell on the oak tree. Thunder and lightning struck the oak tree, revealing a blood-stained face shining beneath it.
