After he ate and had some coffee, he headed to Walmart to look for a small tree and some other decorations. ************************* Quinn had never thought of himself as a dragon person, but when he was on the internet, he ran across Treasured OOAKS and found a dragon that called to him. It was silver gray with green eyes and a green tail. The bark-like skin made him think of the willow tree. The tail branched out like the willow tree’s branches. Quinn had to have one for his tree, so he ordered two, one for his place and one for Willow to put in her house.

Daniel muttered, “underground bunker next to the biggest tree in this area.” Our eyes moved around the ground to find the place Jake had mentioned, and landed on a large, perhaps hundreds of years old oak tree. “Move.” Within the next moment, we were out of the car and in the ground, moving cautiously with careful steps. My ears were on a high alert for any unnecessary voice. There was nothing suspicious but I knew things could not be this easy. Ace was on edge, ready to pounce out at any given chance. Daniel and I moved around the ground to find the bunker but there was no trace of it. The whole thousands of acres large ground was spread out into oblivion.

Rowan said, pointing through the trees. Kael rested his hand on the hilt of his sword. "We stay together." Nobody argued. We followed the sound. The forest changed as we walked. The pines gave way to older trees. Their branches spread so wide that the sunlight barely reached the ground. The air smelled of wildflowers. Then... I saw it. An oak tree. Its trunk split into two before reaching the branches. The same tree from my mother's drawing. "The orchard," Elias whispered. No one moved.

Leonardo provided. "The oak tree in the midst of the pines," Hazel muttered as a memory flashed in her mind at those words. After a few minutes of pondering, her eyes widened as she realized what the clue was. "It's the oak tree in the middle of the large pine field, horses' hooves printed on the soaked ground on a rainy day, blood-red moon. The earth has been hurt, or is Mother Moon mourning for her dead children?" she began. "While many sleep, the earth weeps. What a sorrowful night. As the unknown enemy works in the darkness of the night. Under the large oak tree lies the secret to her salvation. But then again, it also holds the power to her damnation."

“We made sure not to touch the scene, it’s exactly as we found it.” Matthias nodded, expression grim as he stepped past her. And there she was, laid out at the base of a oak tree that was older than the pack itself. Its branches twisted up ahead in a ghostly sort of canopies, leaves swaying in the airless night as strips of moonlight filtered in through, falling to the forest floors like ribbons of silver.

As the sun began to set, Anna and Georgia decided to take a walk around the pack's territory. They needed to clear their minds and process everything that had happened. As they walked, they stumbled upon a small clearing. In the center of the clearing stood an old, gnarled tree. Anna felt a sense of familiarity wash over her. "Georgia, look," Anna said, pointing to the tree. "This is the old oak tree where James wanted to meet us." Georgia's eyes widened. "What do you think he wanted to talk to us about?" she asked.

The man said weakly as he held out his hand. As everyone minus Jill reached out their hands to help him a smile creeped up on his face and Jill knowing something bad would happen and couldn’t stop it in time so she grabbed his hand as well and, in a flash, they were gone. The box itself that Jill was worried about had also disappeared and in a sudden flash of lightning the great infamous oak tree of Oaken Hills was struck.

"She's heading towards the ancient oak grove. We cannot let her reach whatever lurks within." Without hesitation, they sprinted after the witch, determination fueling their steps. The trees whipped past them in a blur as they raced through the dark forest. The ground shook beneath their feet, the resonance of the werewolf battle in the distance, but they couldn't let anything deter them from their mission. Finally, they arrived at the ancient oak grove, the towering trees casting eerie shadows in the moonlight. The air hummed with ancient power, as if the very forest held its breath, awaiting the outcome of this battle.

Ayla and Rhobart ate in silence while they listened to the women talking or watched couples dancing. Minutes before midnight Rhobart stood and looked at Ayla, “We should go see the winter oak tree. You will love it.” Ayla looked at her mother, and Queen Lavia nodded. Rhobart grabbed Ayla by her hand, and together with Kerra, they made their way to where the old winter oak tree was. “Rho,” Ayla said when they stopped close to the tree. “Why are we looking at an old tree?” Rhobart chuckled. “You will see when it is midnight. I am sure you are going to love it.”

Amelia's POV As I made my way through the forest, the familiar sight of the towering oak tree greeted me like an old friend. Its gnarled branches reached out to me, casting dappled shadows upon the forest floor as if beckoning me closer. With each step, the soft crunch of leaves beneath my feet echoed through the tranquil air, a comforting melody that soothed my restless soul. The canopy above filtered the sunlight into a dappled mosaic of light and shadow, casting a sense of enchantment over the secluded grove where the ancient oak stood sentinel.
