Trav replied ruefully. The room was quiet for a moment. "Have you combed all of our borders?" Richard suddenly stood up, his eyes staring at a map of Bayswater. He pulled out the map from its place and unrolled it on the table. "I covered the northern border between Bayswater and the Moonstone Pack. Trav covered the southern border while Roman and Jughead covered both the eastern and western border." Arch stood next to him and trailed his fingers over the border lines on the map as he explained.

He grunts and shakes his head, walking towards the border and raising his hand, but as soon as he tries to touch it, there’s a red glow again. I hear a sizzle and the smell of burning flesh before he growls loudly and let go. “The border is spelled to keep us out,” he says, turning around and walking away. I mimic what he just did and get the same reaction, noting the fact that it hurt like hell.

The strange part was, they weren't even attempting to cross our border. “ We will know soon enough,” I said, their beastly nature and calm appearance only resembled an ancient guard. I may be fucking wrong but something was up. Their predator eyes and cross-movement were like that of a patrol warrior. “It seems to me they are guarding our border,” Zackery said. ‘ Alpha Roman, there are two strange creatures at the southern border.’ A mind link came in from the warriors patrolling the south border and I turned my head to look at Zackery.

After Talon let out one last terrifying growl, he shifted back, leaving me naked on the border. I pulled my lips back, almost too furious about not catching and killing whoever it was, to do anything else.

It came from beyond the broken barrier, and when it rose all the creatures still fighting at the border froze all at once then they turned and retreated, within seconds they were all gone.
