They might be lacking in Shadow’s standard but the Underworld people were filled with talented people. The Underworld used to be the survival of the fittest. Even as a kid, they must have the wit to survive this harsh world, therefore, the usage of the brain was extremely higher than in the Upperworld. They’d never beg for even a grain of rice. Their pride wouldn’t let them stoop so low. The only reason the Underworld had prospered in a span of 12 years was also that those talents were getting support from the emperor with zero interest and spent their time repaying the emperor as well.

Hi everyone! In the interest of not taking away from the dialogue for excessive world-building, I made an index with the rules of this universe. In terms of Gods/Goddesses, I follow Greek mythology, but I’ve also taken pieces from different folklore and added my own twist. Underworld (There are a few realms/subrealms here, so if there's any confusion, let me know, and I will clear it up).
