A guard looks up at me and frowns. “No one told us you would be coming.” He says, looking at his partner. I swiftly pull my sword off my back, leaving it sheathed as I slam it into the side of his head and kick his partner in the chest, following it up with a whack with the butt of my sword handle. I look around, pleased. That wasn’t too horrible. So far.

The Guardian let out a roar of pain, and turned to face Aric once again. Aric circled around the creature, his sword flashing in the dim light. He felt a sense of clarity and focus that he had never experienced before, as though he could see the Guardian's every move before it happened. He dodged and weaved, striking at the creature with precise, calculated blows. The battle continued for what felt like hours, but in reality, it was only a few minutes. Aric and Kaida fought with all their might, their swords flashing in the dim light. The Guardian was a formidable foe, but they refused to give up.

The guards escorting Alcides exchanged uneasy glances, a hint of confusion crossing their faces. Suddenly, the corridor erupted with the clatter of steel against steel, and the unmistakable sounds of battle echoed. The guards, sensing trouble, halted their march. She blocked one strike and used the handle of her blade to hit the other guard in the chest. He fell flat on his back and cheers rose again as they hailed Calla. But the first guard tried again, raising his weapon and high and swinging it down. Calla boobies it but the force pushed her back and her foot slid in the dust. I wanted to rush down to the field and stop the fight but then it was just a spar and a friendly fight, so I watched. The guard looked larger than the rest and with the look on his face, he looked determined. He attacked first and his strike looked strong.

The clang of their swords echoed through the barracks as they exchanged lightning-fast strikes, each showcasing their unique styles and skills. "Your reflexes have improved, Robin!" Adonis exclaimed between parries. "And your footwork is more agile than ever, Adonis!" Robin retorted, a grin playing on his lips. Their banter continued as their blades danced in the air, their movements synchronized and fluid. He made no move to attack Boro though, so Boro sheathed his blade. "That was a fair duel, as anyone of these fine people can attest" Boro replied, arms spreading out to the people in the crowd. Those people, however, averted their eyes and began to leave the area. Boro had already sheathed his sword and was turning to go back in to the inn. However the two goons smiled menacingly at something Boro hadn't yet seen. When the crowd began to disperse Boro turned his head just slightly, and saw two guards ran up the street, halberds held out as if to run Boro through.
