Everything screamed luxury. When I was finally done, I opened the fridge and gasped at the wide varieties of junk food packed inside. But my eyes only landed on a glass bowl neatly tucked on the middle shelf. Fruit salad. I picked it with all gladness. Inside were bright chunks of watermelon, juicy strawberries, blueberries, and green grapes, with chunks of pineapple, cantaloupe, bananas and apple, lightly coated with chilled syrup. What a colourful world! I smiled, grabbed a plastic spoon, and helped myself to the colorful bowl.

I munched the strawberries happily but I could see a look of reluctance fixed on Harper's face. “You don't like strawberries?” I asked shortly. I was being like Harper too, meddling it business that shouldn't be my concern. “No, that's not it… I'm a big fan of strawberries!” Harper replied. She picked one delicately and threw it inside her mouth. She was obviously not munching. “You don't have to eat it if you don't like it, baby,” Olivia seemed to have noticed too. “Someone once told me strawberries weren't as sweet as they looked. He didn't like it because of that.”

The words came out a little too fast and I realised I was smiling, my chin lifting a bit as pride sneaked in before I could stop it. Elena paused and looked at me over her shoulder, one brow lifting. “Are you bragging right now?” I made a small laugh. “Maybe a little.” She chuckled too, shaking her head as she opened the fridge, the light spilling out and revealing the neatly arranged shelves. Everything inside was organised and carefully stocked. There were bowls of cut fruits, small containers with labels, bottles of juice and milk lined up like soldiers, and what looked like prepared meals sealed and untouched. She reached in and took out a small bowl of fruit, setting it on the counter.

She bowed slightly again and began walking, While Serena and Max following her. As they moved along, Serena noticed the fruits were stacked in separate transparent fridges, each holding its own bundle, fresh and bright. Apples, oranges, grapes, and berries were all neatly packed, while vegetables like lettuce, peppers, and carrots were arranged in their own sections. Max’s eyes widened as they kept walking around. “Mum, I want us to get that for Grandpa,” Max muttered, pointing to a bundle of large, juicy peaches. Serena smiled faintly. “Yes, baby,” she murmured, and they picked the peaches.

I just can't believe it looked like I never left. Grandma opened the cabinet filled with small baskets of fruits. Oranges, green apples, blue and black berries which I don't know where they get those, mangoes, guava which I haven't tasted that in my life, pineapple, dragon fruit which I wonder if Emilia Clarke the mother of dragons in Game Of Thrones planted those like how she raised her dragon offspring, kerson fruit berries and some fruit I never seen before. I looked around and recognized paintings with my signature. Paintings I threw last year. I wonder how these stuffs got here.

Marie bustled in the kitchen, getting plates and forks for everyone, and began serving. "What kind is it?" Mitch asked. "Let's see who can guess first, okay? It'll be fun." Marie placed three plates with forks on the table. "I taste strawberry," Mitch said, "but there's something tart in there." "I got it," Ronnie said. "Rhubarb." "You're both right. Do you like it?" Marie wiped her hands on her apron. "It's tart but sweet, and two very unique fruits most people wouldn't think of putting together." Ronnie said, "It's delicious."

The mother checked the progress of her daughter who was unpacking things in the room. Some boxes are open, and chaos in the room can be seen in various directions. "No mom." The girl looked around to confirm one by one the contents of the box that had been scrambled by herself. "I guess..." She faltered at the end, unsure if her memory might be wrong.
