There were only a few passersby, as it was already past midnight. Suddenly, a screeching noise of a car was heard, disturbing the peaceful atmosphere of the night. Not long after, a black sedan came into view, approaching at an extremely fast speed. The passersby turned towards the source of that awful noise. And then, as if in slow motion, the car arrived and slammed violently into the bollards, losing all control. The impact echoed like an explosion and the vehicle flipped once, twice, before crashing onto its roof with a brutal, final thud.

It was so intense, like they were telling me something, they held a promise. But promise of what? Destruction. A small voice in the back of my mind hummed. Fresh tears escaped me as I started crying. Vengeance. That's what his looks held. Hunger for revenge. I gulped as the severity of the situation dawned on me. The man seemed insane and I had to stay away from him. Or else he might destroy me. And this time, I will be shattered completely.

He looked like the Alpha Prime of a decade ago, but his edges were fraying, silver code leaking from his shoulders like smoke. Vane rose across the void, a towering silhouette of red, crystalline code in heavy tactical gear. He gripped a Memory-Blade, a jagged spike of processing power humming with the screams of every wolf the Council had ever formatted. "The Admin is a sentimental relic," Vane's voice ground out like glass on a frozen lake. "You're guarding a woman who's already scrubbed your name from her mind. Why die for a ghost, Kael Blackwood?" Vane swung. The impact forced a memory into the foreground.

The pendant caught the moonlight, making the fang seem almost alive against the night sky. Velda wasn't classically beautiful, but her sharp features and the killing edge honed in northern tribes radiated a shifter warrior's aura. "Frostfang's last scion," she said, her slit pupils like poisoned blades. "Hear you wanted to see me. I'm here. One question—Will you coexist with me in Bloodmoon?" Her tone was unyielding, a low growl warning in her throat. "Give me the truth. Playing weak won't work on me."

Kael’s voice barked from the darkness. From the ridges above, over a hundred armored figures clad in the blood-red crest of the Southern High Council descended like vultures. At the forefront marched Commander Vane. He was a towering Alpha, his armor polished to a mirror sheen, carrying a massive, double-handed broadsword that gleamed under the blue light of the Null-Stones.

“But I’m not letting some ghost in lipstick steal my kill and walk away like a fucking legend.” I stood, crushing the cigarette under my heel. Amara Voss. The Revenant. I didn’t care if she was a myth, monster, or martyr. I would find her. And if she wanted war, I’d give her one she’d never forget.

I raised my brows at her, “What?” She gulps audibly, “Umm… I'm Vendetta.” “So? Get the fuck out of my way, little vamp.” She glared at me “If you would listen to my suggestion then one of you might win your mates' heart but since you're not interested…” she shrugs and began walking away.

She took out a gun and aimed it at his head. She was about to pull the trigger when a flash of purple whizzed past her and she doubled over to the ground. "Violet!" the scarlet speedster spoke as the other speedster was then standing next to him and helping him up. Violet and Crimson—the two speedsters that Carol had identified back at Carter•Labs and it turned out that the speedster killer had caught up to them. "I'm guessing the plutonium's safe since we are all still standing?" said Crimson to Violet.

She had heard about his father before, so if he had learnt from his father, why wasn’t he recruited by her father? She shrugged. Her father did things his own way. There was someone lying casually by the end of the other staircase that also led up to the apartments, watching the struggle. Teddy's girlfriend was seating on the last staircase, watching. The lady stated, matter-of-factly. One of the werewolves pushed the other down and pinned him on the ground.
