He was looking forward to meeting Janette and Jordan Findley. This morning, however, he was eager to share the information he and Vicky had pried from the Vampire in the alley with the rest of their teammates. Vicky was one of only two women on their team. The other, Berta, was a large German Guardian who was known for her ability to pick Vampires up and slam them into hard surfaces—such as buildings or streets—crushing their bone structure and leaving piles of ash in her wake. Spying her squeezed into a chair at the end of the table, Aaron was glad to be sitting far away from her, next to the dainty-in-comparison Vicky, who likely wouldn’t accidentally crush his hand should she get excited

Tick. A tall, lean figure stepped out from the shadow of a massive, gnarled apple tree at the edge of the driveway. He wasn't wearing tactical gear or a rogue coat; he wore a long, grease-stained leather duster that dragged through the damp grass. In his right hand, he held a heavy, circular silver compass. The needle inside wasn't pointing north—it was spinning erratically, locked onto the faint, dark purple glow of the blood dried on my right wrist. It was Vance, Derek's personal head tracker. The bloodhound of the Obsidian pack.

His hand crushed my neck as he held me up. “Tell me now, why do you think we’re the enemies?”. “Because I can smell it. You both are from a corrupt organization in search of the Vela Harmento, which can cure whatever cut, illness, bruise, or curse caused by magic. Usually I’d let you scurry on, but I have taken it up on myself to guide you to the afterlife.” He raised his right hand, launching his fist onto my face. “Got you now,” Raider growled. I could see his sword pierced into Vash’s back with blood dripping from the cut.

"Violet!" the scarlet speedster spoke as the other speedster was then standing next to him and helping him up. Violet and Crimson—the two speedsters that Carol had identified back at Carter•Labs and it turned out that the speedster killer had caught up to them. "I'm guessing the plutonium's safe since we are all still standing?" said Crimson to Violet.

She had heard about his father before, so if he had learnt from his father, why wasn’t he recruited by her father? She shrugged. Her father did things his own way. VVVVV “So you just turn the canister like this” Takashi showed her. And the thing was actually making a small beeping noise. She refused to be impressed. “Then wait three seconds before you throw it” and he did that, and a gas cloud filled the area he threw it to. “What does it do?” “It stuns your opponent for a while. Temporary blindness just like multiple camera flashes”. “Okay, but I’ll still choose brass knuckles over this any day”.

the wolf croaked agonizingly. Teddy walked over to his girlfriend and Annie watched as she beat her wrist and tricked some blood into a small container. There was a small foam at the bottom of the container, shaped like a tongue. There was a deep cut in the center of the tongue. The tongue was soaked with the blood that had gone into it. Teddy gave the small container to Joey. "Yes, human blood. It will do you so much good, maybe absorb all your misused immortality and save us all the trouble." Joey mocked.

I gasped. Lunar Eclipse was more of a pack of mercenaries. No one knew the real names of the pack members, as they all had some sort of code name. The Alpha of the pack was known as Shadowstrike. Shadowstrike was considered the ultimate warrior, with skills that a normal werewolf didn’t possess. He could strike his opponents down with a single blow, but it wasn’t just because he was strong. There was a rumor that he could expel some sort of energy in his attacks that could knock someone down without ever touching them.
