AVA'S POV “For a queen you are, you're getting a bit too comfortable with these humans,” Rowan whispered, his breath tickling my skin and his voice husky and laced with a hint of warning. My gaze narrowed, eyes flashing red with a hint of danger as I took in his words. “And what makes you think so, my love?” I purred, my voice dripping with sweetness as my fingers trailed his bare chest down below to his hard member. Of course we were lying naked in all our glory, skin flawless yet had a pale color to it, and this was absolutely normal being vampires.

My parents were already standing where they normally did for meetings and I searched for Adrian but didn't see him. Oh no. Sarah and I struggled to push ourselves to the front and we were able to. I could see 5 of our hunters use extended hardened metal cords to hold the vampire out. He was binded by his arms and legs, his clothes torn. He had very pale skin, almost unnaturally so. His facial features were sharp and gave him a mysterious and attractive look. He had high cheekbones that made his face look sculpted and chiseled. His jawline was angular, defined, and stood out, adding to his vampire-like appearance.

"Arraa. Come here." Arra was currently checking a small passage that she saw when she heard a deep and cold voice calling out her name. Her eyes widened and a smile plastered on her face. Finally, someone came here to let her out of this scary place. So she turns around with a smile on her face but only to find out that a scary tall man was standing at her back and staring at her. The man was so tall that she had to look up to see his face. His eye was red and has a dark circle on it. He also has pointed fangs on his mouth and it looks very scary. He wears a long dark coat that covers his whole body. Arra screamed at the top of her lungs and quickly cover her face with her two shaking hands.

Strange and authentic. A tornado eyes.

I can't see any blood other than the wolf's blood but I can smell vampire blood, I look around trying to find any sign when the smell of eucalyptus and peppermint hits me hard, Nova is going crazy screaming one word over and over "MATE!!!" I turn, looking around the clearing for the source of the alluring smell, until my eyes fall on the most gorgeous man I have ever seen. he is at least a foot taller than me, dark brown hair and piercing blue eyes. He is in a black polo shirt, black pants and boots, he is quite intimidating especially when he is just standing there staring.

Perhaps, It was what he used to train his Drudge Vampires. Shifting to the right corner of the room, the framed portraits of Lord Ray's family were hung on the wall. The hierarchy began from his father, followed by his mother before you would now see Ella and Ray's portraits. The shocking aspect of it was that each of the portraits were ticked (❌) except for that of Ray and his sister. The room was exuding a foul stench from the dry blood that stained the ground and the mixture of the choking smoke from a calabash filled the room but he seemed comfortable with it along with many other men that posed close to the door. They were his Drudge Vampires.

My hands trembled a bit as I unfastened the silver clasps and opened the cover. There, row upon row like a goddamn exhibit, were photographs. Crystal-clear photographs of the vials. The vials I had seen in Alexis's vehicles. Lycan blood. Evidence. Proof. Air thickened in a matter of seconds. I could feel the red creeping up my neck as I tried some way to shut the box quickly, to make it disappear hopefully.But council members were already on their feet. "What is this?" Elder Mallory spat, grabbing up one of the photographs.

And then, in a tucked-away clipping, there was a grainy picture of him standing proudly beside a group of men in long coats. Men whose pale skin and sharp features screamed what they truly were. Vampires. My stomach twisted. “Dante… it’s not just hatred. He is one.” Dante’s eyes widened as he leaned closer to the photograph. “No. That can’t be…” “It can,” I said flatly. “Think about it, the drownings. No human could drag three wolves under and leave no trace of struggle. But a vampire? Strong enough. Old enough. Clever enough to make it look like an accident.”
