Lily watched in awe as Gabriel transformed into a powerful and fierce leader, ready to defend his mate and friend. The vampires arrived at the cabin, and Gabriel stepped forward, ready to fight. As the battle intensified, Scarlette stood back and used her powers to predict the vampires' moves, allowing Gabriel to anticipate their attacks. Lily looked on in amazement, realizing the strength and courage that Scarlette and Gabriel possessed. Despite their fierce fighting, the vampires managed to overpower Gabriel and Scarlette, leaving Lily defenseless. As the vampires closed in on her, Gabriel screamed out in agony, and Scarlette's heart shattered as she watched her mate fall to the ground.

Iris. As the words leave Josh’s ugly mouth, his fangs gleam in the light. I freeze. My blood runs cold. “NO, Josh! Don’t…!” Dinah’s scream shatters the moment. But it’s too late.
