Alaric was upset with the deal Adna proposed to him. Not that his blood wasn't weak to perform necromancing but he had no one to teach him. Alaric was sitting in his office, with his head in his hands. Behind the wall hangs a portrait of a woman. She was no other than the famous Zara Knight, Alaric's mother. Below the portrait, there was a wooden decor where all the trophies were placed. It was from her mother, she was a vampire hunter. She hunted more than hundred of rogue vampires who were supposedly a threat to the entire community.

She sighed in relief even though she was shocked at the discovery of the king being her saviour. Suddenly she looked up at the maid who was filling the glass of water for her, "But why am I feeling so much pain? Her whole body is hurting." The maid sighed forwarding the glass towards the omega before answering. "It's an aftereffect of vampire wine, the wine is specifically made for vampires, and even vampires like me, lowly ranked can't handle it, then why do you a werewolf think that you can handle it." This silenced Zinnia, she didn't ask another question and grabbed the glass before chugging on the water like she had been thirsty for years.

Before I could regain my balance, his fingers hooked under my chin, jerking my head up so I had no choice but to look at him. “I told you to sit here and behave,” he said softly. Serina answered in her low voice. "How do you know my name?" Adrian asked with a frown on his forehead. “My ancestors once told me about a vampire who impressed herself, namely you as Adrian E. Harrison.” Serina answered with a mumble. But a second later, the expression on her face turned flat and cold. Even the color of her two eyes changed, which was originally black to green there. It was as if something had possessed Serina right now there.
