Verity Sequel Novels & Stories

Alan Reyes I turned off the TV and completely concerned about what's going on within Reyes Oil for the past month. There's 3 people who have Reyes Oil stock that got in trouble. Martin got killed, Ryan got into an accident and now Valerie went missing. I felt like there's someone who's after us and I bet they have my dad on the line knowing that he was the one who built this company. I already tripled up the security for Reyes Oil building and no one can come in and out without getting caught in the CCTV.

I drove my eyes away and head back to the bed. Though I am trying to avoid her, I am just pretending to do so since I am noticing every movement of her. She applied the antiseptic around her neck, opened her luggage and pulled out a red saree then moved to the washroom. I try to close my eyes to sleep but I can't. I had gone through the biggest quake ok my life which shook me from inside.

“She’s fine, it wasn’t that much of a bad fall. We’ve stitched her up, she might suffer a concussion for a few days, but she will recover fast.” My lungs remembers it’s function as I breathe out in relief. “You should be careful, the media will think she’s something more.” The doctor advises before walking away. Of course she was something more. She has always been, only this time it’s something stronger. I’m no fool to leave her side, goddess knows if someone is planning to murder her tonight. I stay by her hospital bed side, watching as she sleeps peacefully, she looks so calm and peaceful, there's no fear, no worry painting her face. No struggle hiding her emotions.

I could hear him breathing, a slow, rhythmic sound that transported me back to the quiet nights in my bedroom when he was recovering. "It looks... familiar," he whispered, almost to himself. Then, as if realizing who he was talking to, his voice snapped back to its cold, corporate frost. "Don't use unauthorized footage again. It’s a security risk. And Martin?" "Yes, sir?" "I heard Velez talking to you in the hall. Whatever he’s offering you... remember who signed your contract first." The line went dead. I stared at the phone, my mind racing. He noticed the shore. He noticed the island. And even through his arrogance and his memory loss, he was still watching me.
