She hated to hear this woman mention her son. Veronica's gaze shot to hers again. "Well, I do have news for you on that front, human," Veronica spat the last word. "You are not able to kill me. I am immortal." "There is no such thing," Aurora responded. Veroncia wondered why this human talked to her so confidently. Veronica's gaze moved over to Lila's once more. She wondered how she had not sensed it before, but Lila's wolf was pronounced. Veronica made a face. It would seem that Lila had been busy behind her back. And after she had saved her from that horrible cabin.

Veronica said boldly since she knew he can't eat her. "I dare you call me that again. I will fucking eat your head off and damn the consequences." Derek said as he moved closer to her and obstructed her from running by putting his left hand on the wall. "You are not one." Veronica said as fear traced every word. "I'm not what?." Derek said as he lowered his fang to her neck, making her even more scared. "You are not a monster.... I am sorry, please don't eat me." Veronica said in an even more fearful tone.

Alpha Damien looked at the girl standing in front of him. Granted she was a young woman who he was older than by five years, but irregardless of that, she was still like a girl to him. A woman I have no idea on who she is storms in like an angry monkey whose banana was stolen, clicking her designer heels loudly against the floor. Veronica. "Catrinaaaa..." A voice floated down the tunnel, melodic and mocking. It sounded like a warped version of my own voice, distorted by the echoes of the concrete. "I know you're down here, little sister. I can smell the expensive perfume Julian bought you. I can smell the fear on your skin." Julian shifted, his thumb clicking the safety off his weapon. I squeezed his arm, signaling him to stay silent. Veronica was a hunter of the dark; she fed on the sound of breathing.

I wonder what that means. “You can’t do that,” she screams in fury, “That’s not fair! Who the hell are you?” “I’m Levi,” my mate replies, “And you’ve threatened not only my friend, but also my wife. From my perspective, I’m being very fair. I haven’t killed you yet. Now, who the hell are you?” “Fine,” she replies, struggling with her cuffs, “I’m Veronica. I’m who you’re looking for. Veronica cleared her voice, was about to move past her when Cassandra seized her arm, tugging her towards her, “I don’t treat strangers kindly. We’re going to have to talk for a bit, darling.” Veronica stepped up to her, raising her chin at her, keeping the tremors in her voice in check, “No we don’t. You are playing with fire, Dr. York. Let go of me right now. You have no idea who we are.” She chuckled nonchalantly, taking another step forward, looking down on her, crowding her, “Your achievements might be impressive, Ms. Veronica Chase but to surely you know better than to threaten me like this.”
