I chuckle sadly. "Then p-please-… Please, don't hurt me," little Valerie begs. "I won't because you're going to meet a charismatic vampire and call him Charming. I noticed a small couch in a corner and took a seat on it. "Do you always watch me every night?" She suddenly asked me breaking the silence. "Since you got attacked," I confirmed and she nodded. "You're quite calm for someone who just learned that completely fictional characters actually exist," I pointed out. I've noticed ever since I told her that I was a vampire she kept a calm expression as if she's been told the exact same thing her whole life. "I really don't know either. I just feel this weird sense of belonging." That's probably the effect of the sacred book on her. She's the chosen one so she'd naturally feel attached to our species without even knowing.

The day after I proposed to my fiancée, she sent me a message out of nowhere saying it was over. I called her over and over, frantic, but she hung up every time. I sent message after message, and she read every one without replying. I even went looking for her, but she was nowhere to be found. It was not until I collapsed onto the couch, completely drained and white as a sheet, that I finally saw a new social media post from her childhood friend. I said and their attention refocused on the woman approaching us with unsteady movements. "If I didn't know better, I'd have said you all were gossiping about me," Arielle said as soon as she stood in front of us, her gaze moving over us, then lingering on Zach. "Hi Zach, your dad has been filling me in on how successful you've become and he said I should catch up with you, but I can see Vega beat me to it again, dang," she said, setting her gaze on Vega. "And then you wonder why I don't like and bully you so much. Just so you know, that dress you're wearing is an ugly shade of red".

Captain D, his real name is Capricus Dander Corezen. "Now that we're here, can you tell me the whole details?" the crazy girl asks as she takes a seat on the couch in front of me. Vera appears in time before I can say something. "Hi! I'm Vera, you are?" Vera seems friendly with new people but to tell you honestly, she's just purely acting out. She's not friendly at all. She's aloof that's why I am only her trusted friend. I shake the thought off and smiled at the crazy girl. She's staring at Vera, straight in the eyes.

Jason's POV: True to Henry's words, Veronica was in the Nightshade Pack. I was surprised to find Veronica Brooks- the same girl I rejected as my mate- standing in front of me. Not as a random human being but as a princess of the Nightshade - the biggest and strongest werewolf pack.

She slowly walked over to him, hoping to see his face for once but he had his mask on already. “Hi Noah.” “What do you want?” He snapped, almost immediately. “I just wanted to say sorry for whatever Charlene must have put you through. I'm just glad you finally know her for who she really is.” She sighed, crossing her legs as soon as she sat on the bed. “Who she really is? Do you know her?” Noah raised a brow. “Oh yes!” Veronica smirked, “she used to be in my class. Everyone knew her as a whore. She's an orphan and had to fuck guys for money.” She pulled back, pushing her chest out.

She was enjoying the day until a sweaty female blonde approached them. “Spar with me,” She said, looking Karina up and down. “Chill out, Ivy. She’s the alpha’s,” Luca shooed her away but she held her ground and smirked. “Of course, we wouldn’t want our fragile little Luna to bear a scratch.” Karina gritted her teeth but stayed calm. This ‘Ivy’ in front of her was getting on her nerves. The most stupid thing a shewolf like her could do is assume that an alpha’s daughter is fragile. she knew she wasn’t as weak as the blonde perceived.
