Whisper of Thoughts
As we reached the central terminal, the alarms finally sounded.
The doors burst open, and a squad of elite security guards swarmed the floor. They didn't shoot immediately.
They held their positions, forming a perimeter around the core. From the ceiling speakers, Victor’s voice filled the room. It was amplified, cold, and triumphant.
"You really thought you could make it this far?" Victor said. "You are not revolutionaries. You are bugs in the system."
"The system is finished, Victor," I shouted, my voice echoing against the cold metal.
