Keep it normal. Isabella was already seated, stuffing toast into her mouth when she waved something in the air. “Look what I made!” she said around a mouthful of jam. Ryan reached over and took the paper from her. He looked at it, blinked, then handed it to me.

Isabella quickly walked over and blocked the main interviewer’s hand from pressing the elevator button. The interviewers, startled by Isabella's sudden approach, looked at her with surprise. An assistant, clearly annoyed, called out, “What do you think you’re doing? Security, security...” Ignoring the assistant, Isabella calmly addressed the main interviewer. “Excuse me, sir. I’m Isabella Rivera, here for the interview. I’ve been waiting all day and haven’t been called. I’d like to know what went wrong.” The stout woman saw this and was about to mock her, but Thalia stopped her.

Then she looked away. "No, thanks, " she said quickly. Her voice was not cold. It was quick.I put the mug down on the counter. Leaned back. I watched her, Isabella as she moved around the kitchen. She seemed distracted and distant. There were circles under her eyes that I had not seen before. "Isabella, " I said carefully, "something is going on. I can see it." Her lips pressed together. She looked at the window again. "Victor, really... I am fine. Just tired " she said softly.. I heard the hesitation in Isabella's voice.I stepped closer to her Isabella. I kept my tone gentle. I did not want to push her hard.

"Give us your address." This is crazy. I'm about to bring three strangers home to fuck me in my marriage bed so my chcheating and abusive husband walks in on us. My fists clenched so tightly that my nails bit into my palms. “You’re pathetic,” she said, her voice low and mocking. “No wonder Simon got bored. You’re weak, Isabella. A nobody.”

She finished, before walking away. Jace sighed in defeat, knowing that there was nothing he can do to change Bella's mind once she has made a decision. Though one thing was clear: Isabella was ready to do everything to make the Sicilians pay the price for what they did. She will kill, torture, and fight without letting anything hinder plans.
