Breaking Cairos Veylan
For a second, nothing happened.
Then faint lines started appearing under her touch. Like ink waking up beneath paint.
My breath caught. “Okay… that’s not normal.”
“Normal doesn’t exist here honey,” she said.
The lines spread slowly, forming patterns I didn’t understand… circles, symbols, intersecting shapes that made my head feel strange just looking at them too long.
Cairos stepped closer, watching them with a tight expression. “They’re fading faster than expected.”
Anna nodded. “That thing upstairs wasn’t supposed to manifest like that.”
