Hazel whispered, her voice sounding thin to her own ears. As she stepped out of the car, she realized Silas had followed her out. He stood by the rear door, leaning against the frame as he surveyed the campus. The reaction was instantaneous. A group of sophomore girls walking toward the library stopped in their tracks, their hushed whispers and giggles carrying on the breeze. They were staring openly at Silas—at his height, his brooding face, and the dark, dangerous allure of the tattoos snaking down his arms.

A man's cologne. They walk around me, stopping behind the chair. Goosebumps rise on my skin when I felt their fingers wrap around my hair and tugged my head back harshly, causing me to choke on a cry. "Finally awake baby?" That voice. I know that voice.

With only five people ahead of me I see two brunettes of similar height and build pop around the corner, with satisfied smirks covering their faces. We went for the next item on the list that had to do with us getting his lock of hair, it was easier for us and after we were done I casted the unbinding spell. Almost at the same time, I felt an energy charge drift through the resulting release of a wave that came like the wind. Those that still had a bit of energy in them staggered and struggled to stay up while the weak ones sank to their knees. My gaze narrowed as I looked up at him. The moonlight made his amber eyes even more golden as I sighed in relief, for a minute I had thought I lost him. "What in the hell happened here?" He asked to rub his temple. His voice darkened.

I shake my head in disagreement with his words: “You are confused, and you..." “I can clear up the misunderstanding so that..." “There is nothing to clear up, Robby!” I squeal. It seems like my voice is too soft for him to understand that this discussion is heading nowhere. “You are my student, and that is that. Forget any other ideas that are developing in your head. I wouldn’t want us to hate each other because of this.” “But…” “Mommy? Uncle Robby?” We snap in the direction of Lyana. Damn! “Are you two fighting?” She asks as she peels the blanket off her.

Terror rolled over my body, as I knew Thane was going to kill him. “NO!” I screamed as Thane picked Tanner up with both hands and moved to snap his spine. I heard a loud CRACK and Tanner’s wolf howled out in pain. The wailing of his wolf echoed straight to my core. Thane placed his foot on Tanner’s neck ready to finish him. This can’t be happening! I won’t let this HAPPEN! I felt a surge of energy that I had never felt before. I stepped forward, the wind picked up around me and the trees started tilting with its force.

"Let me think." He thought back on the past couple of days. "Now that I think about it...she has been more emotional these days." "More emotional?" He nodded his head. "Yeah. We watched Tangle a couple of days ago, and she cried when Flynn cut Rapunzel's hair." "I think that scene was quite emotional," River argued. "He was about to die! I think it's normal that she cried." "Yeah, that was what I thought at first, too. But she cried for a different reason."

"I am on my way they will not hurt you." One with a very deep voice spoke. "Tomorrow at the trial tell them you don't want anything to happen to Shanaya and Benson, or else worse will happen to you next time." That was it Tilly had heard enough and she turned into wolf form. "Shit." "Look at her she has her wolf." "She is fucking strong." All rang out at the same time from different voices. They all started backing away from me when they saw my size. "What is she is she a hybrid?"

I rushed to her side and touched her face. “Mom sherleen? Please…” She groaned. Her eyes fluttered open. “Tyla?” “I’m here..we’re here..you’re safe now.” Thane reached us a second later. “Mother…” Her eyes filled with tears. “You came.” “I always will,” he said softly, cutting the ropes with his claws. She fell into his arms. And just for a moment, the world was still Until the ground rumbled. We all looked up. From the shadows beyond the tree line, something was coming..... something big, fast and angry.
