It was a masterpiece. It didn't look like Torin’s bulky, spiked magma-iron Vanguard plate. It was aggressively sleek, possessing a terrifying, minimalist geometry. The matte-black void metal didn't reflect the ambient light of the foundry; it seemed to absorb it, making the suit look like a perfectly tailored shadow. The interlocking plates covering the chest, spine, and limbs were seamless, sliding over each other with absolute, frictionless silence. There were no massive steam-exhaust ports. There were no visible joints. It was a flawless, premium aesthetic born of pure, apocalyptic physics.

The suit of armor consisted of a helmet, chest plate, tassets, greaves, and boots, with two streamers floating behind him, protecting Wilbur's entire body. Only his eyes were exposed. The armor was formed from white spiritual flames and had red runes shimmering around its surface. There was lightning dancing around it as well. It exuded a powerful and imposing aura, making Wilbur look like a war god. The Hundred Shadows Slaughter assaulted him, and all the spiritual energy blades constantly exploded against Wilbur's suit of armor. All the blades shattered, dispersing into spiritual energy.

But Tristan knew that someday their confrontation would become inevitable. Dark eyes watched with slight sadness the blond High Vampire lounging imposingly on a throne-chair. Tristan was again wearing his scarlet and gold sleeveless vest, and underneath was a thin, snow-white shirt that covered his neck. Scarlet, gold and white. A strange combination. Black cambric trousers were tucked into high leather boots. The Supreme One held a thin parchment in his hand and looked at the scribbling across it with a lazy glance. From the outside it seemed that Lord Tantario was bored.

They didn't crash; they slowed at the last second, hissing open to reveal the Continuum Soldiers. ​They weren't like the GSC or the Sterling mercenaries. They didn't wear bulky armor. They wore "Living Suits"—a translucent, shifting mesh that looked like liquid muscle. They moved with a terrifying, insect-like grace, their faces obscured by smooth, featureless masks. ​"Target identified," one of the soldiers said, its voice a synthesized harmony. "The Mother. The Hub. And the Failed King." ​"Failed King?" Liam growled, raising his pulse-rifle. "I’ll show you failure."

Titan said and sighed heavily. Zach laughed and nudged Dylan. "Because he is fat, he thinks the suit does not go well with him." "It is called a suit to 'suit' people!" Titan yelled. "I look like a gasoline tank. Do they really have to use bright blue? Why can't it be a black suit? I'd look thinner in black." Titan stomped on the marbled floor, ranting. That's probably so they can easily spot you if you dare make a bold escape.
