“Calm down! You’re losing control!”
“I’m trying!” she cried out, her heart racing. The wind grew stronger, sending leaves flying in all directions.
In her struggle, she felt a flicker of fear and darkness creeping in, threatening to overwhelm her. “No, I can do this!” she shouted, her voice echoing against the trees.
With sheer will, she focused on the ground beneath her, pulling energy from the earth. “Stay grounded,” she urged herself, picturing roots anchoring her to the soil.
Gradually, the storm within her began to subside. The wind settled into a gentle breeze, and Alice exhaled in relief. “I did it,” she murmured, opening her eyes to see Johnson watching her with admiration.
