Xavier’s POV
She wouldn’t let go.
Every time I tried to ease her onto the silk sheets, her fingers tightened in the fabric of my dress shirt, pulling me back into her orbit with a desperate, mindless strength. She was a chaotic whirlwind of tequila-scented breath and soft, muffled sobs, her face buried so deep into the crook of my neck that I could feel every jagged, hot exhale against my pulse.
"Don't go," she hit me with a slurred whisper, her voice cracking in a way that made my chest tighten painfully. "The white walkers... they’re coming for everyone, Xavier. Don't leave me in the dark."
