The Billionaire's Flower
Jogging back into the mansion's stone interior, a bone chilling sensation follows me.
The next morning, the weather was particularly stormy and cold. I approach the kitchen with the goal of some buttered toast, but get intercepted by a sudden shout.
“Mr. Whitlock!” a young kitchen aid calls me. Surprised, I turn my head their way and find them pointing out the window.
Walking in a piercing cold downpour, was Violet. Her hair and clothes are a soaked mess, but her expression is more vacant than normal.
Swiping the nearest umbrella, I make a mad dash towards her as she absent mindedly strolls in the deluge.
