“Let’s go!” Jade was careful not to step on the small pool of blood surrounding the corpse on the floor. She averted her eyes, still shocked. That was the first time she had seen someone kill in cold blood. It wasn’t a pretty sight. “Faster!” Mei hissed. Moving faster, Jade followed Mei out of the cell and into an empty hallway. As they reached the end of the hallway, Mei raised her hand in a stopping motion. Jade noticed that Mei’s fingernails seemed longer than she remembered—in fact, they didn’t look like a normal human’s fingernails. Aside from being unusually long, they were curved, too—like the claws of a cat.

"Come on, babe. I have a new trick I want to teach the warriors today, you can join in, and later, I will give you private lessons on how to be a good fighter." She gets excited hearing that. Mathew kisses her lightly on the lips (much to the dislike of all the unmated she wolves present) then starts throwing instructions at them all. After seeing how she is struggling with the new trick Mathew is teaching the warriors today, he decides she needs a lot of basic training to catch up with all the agile wolves that have been training for ages. He takes her to the gym after training. She looks around in awe at the spacious room filled with different machines designed for various activities, then

The Thorax warrior was under a spell, and Calyx intended to hurt him and put him to sleep, but the King merely wished to calm the warrior's temper. I looked over to see her laughing as she took down one of our best warriors. Kaida was an incredible fighter and had a kind heart. Everyone in the pack adored her, and seeing her in a good mood made me happy. What didn’t make me happy was the way the male wolves were staring at her. Her body, toned and graceful, drew their attention, and my wolf growled in frustration.

I had been hoping they were normal wolves. Soon, the once medium sized, dirty blonde wolf is a naked man standing up from the forest floor. He's tall, well over six feet. He's definitely a pack warrior; he's thick in the arms and looks like he could take on a tank. "Hello." He says. His voice is soft, but firm. Like he's trying not to scare us but seem dominant at the same time. It doesn't work. "You're not just a panther." He says it as a statement, as opposed to a question. They already know I'm not just a normal woodland creature.

' 'True… I think you’re going to be the main attraction today. It kicks off again. Daxton steps forward, strips all the way down, and walks to the arena before shifting. Liam strips by his chair and shifts too — his wolf is massive, dark brown. Daxton’s is a light grey. Both are big and strong, classic ranked warrior builds. They circle, then launch at each other at the same time.

The cat growled and lunged at him again, teeth bared, but the warrior stepped aside with fluid precision. “Woah! I think that cat’s overdue for a nap.” He said with a chuckle, glancing towards Lyra and motioning to the attacking animal. The wild cat flailed, its sharp teeth gnashing at his wrist, but he didn’t flinch. With a grunt, he swung the creature to the side with a force that sent it tumbling into the wet grass. The wild cat’s body flickered like a mirage for a moment, but it recovered quickly, spinning around and launching itself at the warrior once more, its body a blur of twisted motion.

Even if he had to fight his own parents, it wouldn’t be a problem for Long Chen because they didn’t respect his grandfather either. “Hehehehe, hahahahaha! You want to play, don’t you? Come on! I’ll make this game fun,” said Long Chen, flying straight in with a terrifying smile. The white cat, which had been silent all along, holding back the hatred within Long Chen’s body, furrowed its brow. The hatred within Long Chen’s body seemed to originate not only from Long Chen himself but clearly belonged to someone else—only the white cat didn’t know who had implanted that hatred into Long Chen’s body.

What kind of women-deprecating shit goes on in this pack? I sigh and shake my head. Then, the first warrior steps forward. He’s a brunette, broad-shouldered, thick-necked, and built like a freight train. He eyes my bloody claws. His gaze lingers on my canines before moving to my eyes. But the bastard’s smile is cocky, the kind that says he’s already decided I’ll last five seconds… ten if he’s feeling generous. As we square up, the air between us sharpens, charged with tension and silent judgment.
