Bound by faith : the rise of a rejected mate

Bound by faith : the rise of a rejected mate

"Unless we try, we will not know. Who will figure out the answers if you don't, Melissa?" The tension between the pack had escalated by mid-afternoon. An odd disease has started to spread. Members walked slowly, their pale skin and languid gaits. As I walked through the main hall, a healer named Mara yelled out, "Alpha." They seem to be losing their vigour. It is unlike anything I have ever seen. I put a hand on a young pack member's forehead while I was kneeling next to him. He was on fire. Is there any indication of the cause of this?"

Rejected By The Alpha, Claimed By His Uncle

Rejected By The Alpha, Claimed By His Uncle

“We believe the prince is suffering from a rare shifting sickness.” The words seemed to echo through the chamber. My head lifted slowly. “What?” Fael stared at the healer. “That is impossible.” The healer shook his head slightly. “It is rare, but it is not impossible.” Another cough shook Aurelian’s chest. This one was weaker. More fragile. My stomach twisted painfully. “What does that mean?” I asked. The healer hesitated for some seconds then she answered. “It means his wolf is awakening too violently for his body to withstand.”

Alpha's secret love child

Alpha's secret love child

Amber was all packed up and ready to go, Briana had already left for school and Hunter was with at the daycare with Brandy. I kissed Amber goodbye and headed to my office when I got the first mindlink. Five of our border patrols have mysteriously gotten ill. Werewolves barely were sick due to our healing abilities, but once in a while it still happened one of the wolves got sick. But not five at the same time. I headed out to the area where they worked at while I mindlinked the doctor to tell me what had happened. “It’s almost like they have food poisoning, they all keep throwing up violently.” The Doctor said.

Crowned In Vengeance

Crowned In Vengeance

“That's exactly where I am going and that's what I am doing. Don't bother to stop me.” “But my lord, it's very late and the healer should be resting. She is just recovering from an arrow wound and despite that she spent her days treating the wounded.” “I don't care, I can't sit down and do nothing when my people are falling sick and dying. Especially the men. We need to do something about it.” Elder Thorne sighed. “I can't stop you can I?” “No you cannot. The men are falling sick, the children are sick, and even the warriors in the east Wing are not getting any better. It seems that since she came into our pack more people have been falling sicker and sicker.” I replied.

The Lost Heiress of the bleeding throne

The Lost Heiress of the bleeding throne

He took the cup placed in front of him and poured himself another cup of wine before taking a sip. Zolaiah struck his chest with a fist. "Bring it on. We’ll face it head-on." "Do you think this is a fight you can crush with fists?" Daryus said, his eyes now open, molten and unfathomable. He had been unnaturally still when we first arrived, his golden scales glinting faintly at the corner of his temples. "These are not brawn beasts. This is old, deep, and forbidden." “And what of the sicknesses?” Liam asked, speaking up for the first time. “Border packs are reporting fevers that no healing rune can rectify. Wolves are turning savage, and their minds are breaking.”

he frowned. “Well, yeah. I was just testing if you were bluffing.” I said with a smile, to which he quirked an eyebrow while I responded with a shrug. “Any werewolves afraid of spiders?” I asked hopefully. “No!” everyone replied in unison, some shaking their heads. “Pity. I was hoping to catch someone screaming like a girl. I could record it and watch it on gloomy days so I wouldn’t feel miserable here.” “You feel miserable?” Kate asked, concerned.

Potion of Love

Potion of Love

A healer with decent talent, shaky basics, and abundant drive. In the third month, the program ran into a serious problem. A group of warriors injured during a patrol was rushed in. They had been infected with an extremely rare and stubborn toxin called "Eclipse". The toxin slowly ate away at the wolf inside them, leaving them weak and wracked with illusory pain as they died. The antidotes they had on record either barely worked or came with severe side effects that could even hasten a wolf's death. Several senior healers stayed up night after night, testing dozens of different combinations, yet progress was painfully slow. The patients grew worse a little more each day.

He Killed My Babies Thirty-Six Times

He Killed My Babies Thirty-Six Times

one of the warriors whispered nearby. The room immediately grew louder. Kaelen’s expression darkened slightly now too. The old woman kept staring at him like she was seeing a ghost. “I’ve suffered for years,” she whispered brokenly. “Years…” Tears streamed endlessly down her face. “My wolf became sick after what I helped do. The healers couldn’t cure me… because this sickness came from guilt.” An uncomfortable silence spread across the hall. Even the elders looked tense now. I frowned deeply. “What exactly are you talking about?”

I smiled, patting the baby's back as he slept peacefully in my arms. "It's just herbs." "It's magic." She kissed my fingers. "You're magical, thank you. I thought I would lose him." But I didn't feel magical, I only felt tired, but I still kept working. ~~||~~||~~ An infectious disease was spreading around the territories, neighbouring towns and packs. Rowan showed me the reports. The wolves in the northern sector were falling sick. First it was a fever, then weakness and death. It felt like a simple illness but a very dangerous one.

The Demon of SilverFang

The Demon of SilverFang

“Hot, my throat hurts, and my head is fuzzy.” I heard Nick come in behind me now and I carried him out of the room, last thing I need is for him to get sick too. “Come on buddy, Mom is going to be okay, but she isn’t feeling good right now.” Unshifted pups can catch illnesses as easy as a regular human. “Mom has been working hard and it caught up to her.”

I love me a story with badass females that are strong, but sensitive, especially when they're as caring and passionate about people as The Demon is. Will definitely read again it was that well written! 🤍
