"When a fae has lived for several ages, the feral part of us grows stronger." "Feral?" She asks. "Like a cat?" "A cat? More like a primal creature that relies on instinct and basic needs." "So, a cat." She nods. "The only cats I know of are the shifting panthers of the Twisted Pines, and I suppose they are somewhat feral, but are more known for cheating at cards than anything else." I stand in front of her and press a hand to her cheek where a scratch veers toward her ear. "I'm so sorry you saw me like that, little one. Are you hurt?"

“Interesting, like us, but not like us. Are there any werecat colonies or prides in North America?” “Not to my knowledge, Little Luna. But werecats are a pretty unknown underworld phenomenon. There could be a group, or a few groups of them here in North America. We do have large cats here, mountain lions, better known as cougars.” I looked over at Fenrir, “Anything you want to add?” I asked him politely. He wasn’t the one I was mad at. Fenrir wasn’t the one keeping secrets. “Actually yes. Although his, Andrew is his name?”

He would trust in himself to keep her happy and in his life, not some strange, mystical force. The golden-eyed warrior arrived from behind a tapestry that hid the way out. "So, dog, are you ready to fight?" "Anytime, kitty cat. Anytime." The tanned fellow laughed. "I am Chaob, and it is not me that is challenging you for the female." "Pity." "Yes, because my cousin is much bigger. Not quite as big as Acat, but close." "And Acat is?" "Carlie's other mate." "Other, as in two?"

“Ok our War cats are a crossbreed from our animals from Crustalia planet that made the trip with Earth’s feline creatures. They might look similar or act as the cats you know but they are not.” “For one they live longer and are bigger than average which is why you think Leo is part lion, but he isn’t. In fact, his parents are mostly cougar with lion on his mother side, but that is generations ago. After the first crossbreed thousands ago, most War cats are breed within.” My father paused as looked at me. I had questions and I think he was listening to them, as he picked back up.

He bundled up my three sleeping cats in one go and flung open the window, ready to toss them out. Quick as lightning, I stepped in front of him, blocking his move. "Dominic, what are you doing? I raised them!" He exploded on the spot. "Haven't you heard the notice? The apocalypse starts in twenty-four hours! You expect these blind, crippled cats to protect you?" I planted myself firmly in front of the window, refusing to budge. When brute force didn't work, he tried persuasion. "Scarlett, listen to me. Kill these useless cats, and we'd have six slots. Then we could raise more beasts. We'd be invincible."

Ah, it turned out Winston was a cat. In reality, cats and dogs were natural enemies, but their personalities didn't directly clash. In many situations, the two species preferred not to encounter each other, and fights were common. However, Wolfgang was not a simple dog; he was a werewolf, so he didn't precisely despise cats. Yet, when he was young and living abroad, he was attacked many times by wild cats in the area, and due to these numerous incidents, he couldn't develop any affection for this arrogant species.

My legs are too short! Without warning, Birchpelt grabbed her by the scruff. Birdpaw had been trembling the whole time as she looked over the ledge, she hardly even noticed. Birchpelt leaped onto the other side with ease, even though she was carrying Birdpaw by the scruff as well. "I'm sorry," Birdpaw finally squeaked when the ordeal was over. "Every cat feels fear every now and than," Birchpelt told her. "When you learn to overcome your fear, that is what makes you a true warrior."

" Ace and Loki observed me, and when Loki lifted his hands to check, I swatted it away casually like a fly. I walked past them and turned when they wouldn't move. "We're gonna be late, let's go," I said, and we went for our first class. Muscat followed me, walking to my left. Every soldier we've passed moved out of the way after seeing Muscat. What Ace said is starting to make sense. Muscat isn't a Bengal cat, after all. To make matters worse, it's a black panther.

Every step is calculated; she pushes forward like a perfect predator, a weapon expressly created for war. As we run past the paramedic team, I realise how much I didn't know about my cat. She's faster than wolves, which is something I'll have to ask her about later. The massive size difference between her and the paramedics' wolves is another topic to discuss. I knew that every wolf was different- size, colour and strength depending on rank, but most cats were the same size or smaller than Alpha. That doesn't seem to be the case with Talia. *We're special; stop overthinking. Almost here, I smell blood.* Talia snaps me out of my thoughts, and I immediately focus on the forest line coming into
