Keeping animals in the tribe took a lot of effort and could also invite mosquitoes and other insects if not handled properly. Ever since the tribe started keeping livestock, mosquitoes and other small insects started to multiply, even though the tribespeople kept the animals clean. So, when I went to the mountain with the Elder Healer to collect herbs, I asked her, "Grandma Lony, are there any herbs that can make insects go away?" "Yes, there are several herbs you can find here in the mountains that can drive away insects because of their scent, such as lemongrass, lavender, marigold, rosemary, catmint, basil, and many more," she replied.

The Barren Luna’s Revenge; Dear Ex, Your Only Heir Is Mine

The Barren Luna’s Revenge; Dear Ex, Your Only Heir Is Mine

“The tears of a white horse that just consummated his love.” That nonsense came out of her mouth so confidently that I almost tripped. What kind of stupid plan was that? You wanted to stop a thousand year old harbinger with that? A horse's tears, not only that. The tears of one that just had sex. Bullshit. Thankfully, even Lana was staring at Jade with a set confused eyes. “Are you serious for real?” “Yes.” Jade nodded. “Feral herb is a herb that has a very explosive nature to ruin the effects, you just need something that can take its effects. Horse's tears can do that.”

Double D’s Possession: The Omega’s Coup

Double D’s Possession: The Omega’s Coup

"I am not claiming the old roots are entirely useless, boy. They can cure a simple valley fever or a throat cough, but suggesting mountain herbs can unlock a violently shattered warrior mind is utterly ridiculous." My brows furrow with boiling rage. My adoptive wildland parents had successfully pulled dozens of broken, shell-shocked omega and alpha refugees back from the brink of absolute madness using those exact sacred roots, yet this arrogant citadel doctor was spitting on their entire life's work. "My tongue does not speak ridiculous lies, shaman. If your Warlord grants the command, my claws will gladly prove the old medicine on the prisoner's flesh." "There is absolute zero need for suc

From Omega's Daughter To Alpha's Daughter

From Omega's Daughter To Alpha's Daughter

“You learn.” She brings out bundles of dried herbs, arranging them neatly on a stone slab. “Let’s start with the basics,” she says. “You have potential. And I suspect your mother was preparing you for something far greater than pack kitchens.” The rest of the morning passed with her showing me basic herbs. She pointed out dried stalks of wolfbane, blue-root, and valerian. “This will numb pain. This counters toxins. This one enhances spirit dreams.” It was fascinating. For the first time, I wanted to learn. Maybe I was never meant to be a servant.

Worthless to Priceless: The Alpha's Rejected Mate

Worthless to Priceless: The Alpha's Rejected Mate

“These aren’t random herbs,” “I got them years ago from an old healer who worked with young werewolves, and she was the one who taught me what to use when a kid’s power starts running too hot.” Eli looked up from the bowl in his hands. “What kind of herbs?” Blake opened the pouch and tipped out a small bundle wrapped in oilcloth, then he unfolded it carefully and revealed dried leaves, pale roots, and a little handful of crushed gray petals that looked so old they almost seemed dusty with memory. “Cooling herbs,” he said. “Stabilizers. They pull down fever spikes, and they help settle unstable energy before it keeps climbing.”

This was such an amazingly interesting story. Right up until the end. Did you get tired of writing it? Were you unsure of where else the story was headed? I feel like things were going great and then <BAM!> brick wall. Epilogue… the end. So many loose ends left unanswered. Loved it regardless.

His Deplorable Mate

His Deplorable Mate

Before he can react, I stood up and ran for the herbs. I giggled when I heard a growl but I know he wouldn’t had let me go. I was looking for that special herbs, chervil, they’re known for their properties and are used for centuries. I found chervil, took them and cobnuts. I made an ointment by pounding them in stones.

I am at Chapter 37 and every page makes me read even more. I must say the story, and the way characters are placed in there, is really impressive. I might place it in my top liked off all time list. Time will tell.

Trapped In The Land Of Lycan

Trapped In The Land Of Lycan

“That’s really cruel. What kind of herbal tea is it?” “She doesn’t know. It’s specially made for her. You are a doctor. You must be able to guess the ingredients used in that herbal tea.” Marshall made a humph sound before he went to the bookshelf. He took a while to look, then grabbed a book with a white cover. He dropped his body on the small chair and flipped the papers impatiently. “Found it,” Marshall exclaimed. “In the past, wolfsbane and silver water is mixed with the tea. However, this book stated that the effect would last only for six months at most."

The Ruthless Alpha's Dangerous Omega

The Ruthless Alpha's Dangerous Omega

They are healing quite nicely, and I know in no more than three days time, they won't be there anymore. A small group of us thread through the path. Six omegas, two low-ranked wolves, and one warrior escort who is more invested in scratching his beard than actually watching the trees. Our baskets are filled with dried herbs, salted meats, and clean lines. The things that the other wolves would need except the Omegas. We are sent to gather necessary herbs needed to restock the healer’s store.

, she added. "That sounds like something you say to make people feel better." "It is." Vera smiled faintly. "But, that doesn't make it less true." She took Erin’s hands and pressed the herb bundle into Erin's palm. "Keep this with you. Rosemary for protection, thyme for courage, and wolfsbane..” "Wolfsbane is poisonous." "Not this kind. This kind watches for poison in others." Vera's eyes gleamed. "Helps you see past pretty faces to rotten hearts."

Fading Wolf, Forgotten Mate

Fading Wolf, Forgotten Mate

"I'm going to be sick." Cressida turned around from the front seat, blinking. Then she picked up a small, elegant diffuser from the center console. "You're not allergic to this scent, are you?" I saw what she was holding. A Silvermoon Herb diffuser. It was an herbal product used to stimulate a wolf's spirit. To a healthy wolf, it was just a pleasant aroma. But for a wolf with spirit decay, it triggered a violent rejection. He remembered. Seven years ago, I told him once that this scent made me sick.
