JAMES’S APARTMENT Aidan’s eyes widened as he stepped into the lobby. Countless police officers and forensic team members were bustling about, carrying several body bags. He slipped past them and took the elevator up to James’s penthouse floor. The entire area was taped off with police crime scene tape, and to his horror, the body of James’s pet dog was being brought out. “Oh my God, Blaze!” Aidan gasped, his voice catching in his throat. Aidan kept looking around, trying to gather information by asking an officer after introducing himself as family.

"Anyway, we've located Aiden. Send Max and a few men to retrieve him." "Yes, Father," He replied before hanging up and immediately dialling Max's number. Aiden belongs to the werewolf pack. He serves as Liam's beta and was the one responsible for stealing their drugs.

So far, Aiden had not been allowed to be on patrol duty leaving only his russet-colored best friend to sneak out. He had begged his best friend to continue to watch over the girl, his mate, in his stead as he could not. With every minute after realizing who she was that passed began to drive Aiden up the wall. Aiden’s frustrations were steadily increasing as each second ticked by almost torturously slow and he could feel himself becoming closer and closer to snapping. If he were in his wolf form his hackles would have been raised. To add to his torment his father had been locked up in his office all night leaving him to suffer in his silence.

He dropped on his knees and looked back with his blurry vision. And saw Ezra walking toward him with a gun . He fell flat to the ground. Devina arrived at their house and looked back. "Where is Aiden?" "Maybe he diverted home." Tara said getting down from the bike. "He always does funny things?" Devina said. "Thank you for coming for me." Tara said and hugged her tightly. "Stop it Tara, we're always meant to watch after each other." Devina said.

You promised to help me plead with her, but now you’re breaking your word by leaving me behind.” I was still cursing my brother when I noticed Ava walking towards the car. Her friend drove right up to the parking space. Aiden had also come to a halt. He was looking at our gorgeous mate with a loving gaze. I walked up to the lost puppy.
