Jayda was about taking another shot when she heard the voice, the voice sounded angry and irritated but for some unknown reasons, it sent shivers down her spine. Straightening myself, I fall at a rapid speed. Looking down and seeing the incoming sand, I activate my gauntlets. My gauntlets come on and encase my arms in metal armor. I then use my gift to electrify them. As I hit the sand with my electrified arms, the impact unleashes a massive wave of pure blue and white electricity that sends the sand flying everywhere. Pushing myself up from a glass crater, I dust a few shards of glass off my shoulder and scan the surrounding area.

The white light died. Baraka placed two fingers against the battery housing of her collar. He summoned the localized kinetic static—the subtle, vibrating friction of the Star-Code. It was a surgical application of power, entirely different from the raw, explosive force he had used in the Dead Zone. He pushed the electromagnetic pulse into the metal. The circuitry hissed, a wisp of acrid black smoke curled into the air, and the collar clicked open, falling harmlessly to the ground. Baraka moved immediately to the unconscious, granite-skinned giant. He applied the same static shock to the third collar. It popped open with a metallic clack.
