Donald and Jenise sat on either side of Axel. "Any update on the situation?" Jubril motioned to one of his men, who turned on the screen. The footage of the back view of a woman entering the penthouse building filled the screen. Axel sat up and leaned towards the screen. "What the hell? That's Lisa." The men exchanged glances. Jubril cleared his throat. "Wait for it, brother." The footage shifted to the front view. Axel rose and rubbed his eyes. "I don't understand." He frowned deeply. "Where did Lisa go?"

I bent over because of the butterflies in my stomach. I couldn't even catch my breath. Then, I realized that I was going through a panic attack. The thought of Alpha Lucas lurking around in the darkness and watching me made me sick, just like a pair of invisible hands, choking my neck. "Lisa, talk to me. What happened?"
