We Go Up Novels & Stories

They nodded, smiling. "We would be happy to help" one of th4m said before they went into the building and began to trudge up the stairs. The other men had taken the elevator instead. As soon as they were in, William and I walked into the building and began to walk up the stairs. It seems like an eternity before we got to the fourteenth floor, because we had taken the stairs instead. My legs were burning, which was very surprising. I wondered why I would feel that way. Somehow it seemed as though I was running out of breath after walking up.

Most likely I forgot to give it to you. Following my mother up to the fourth floor to my parent’s quarters, I thought back to a few nights ago. Going up all these stairs is a serious pain in the ass. “We need to get some elevators up in this place mom. I mean seriously. Don’t you get annoyed with going up and down all these flights of stairs all of the time?” “It keeps us young.”

Aiden thought for a while before his eyes snapped open, "Let's go find him!" "Are you insane? Find him? How?!" "Listen, Nadia, We know where the Walkers family house is, we know the hotel dad stays at, we know the Walkers' group, and even the clubhouse he likes to visit, so what is stopping us now?" "We didn't seek permission to leave the house; I'm not going." "But we won't be alone! Uncle Tyler and his men will go with us. We'll be safe, I promise." "I never said Uncle Ty can't protect us; I said I'm not going… Aiden, you're making me exhausted."

I feel my self growing with need. The elevator arrives the top floor and we walk out. I swipe my key card and push the door open.

I couldn't utter a word at this moment. "Anyway, we're going to go up to the suite. We plan to go to the beach this afternoon," said Andra, as if she was getting ready to stand up. I nodded involuntarily and stepped back, biting my lower lip tightly...

Atlas barked at them, encouraging the effort. "We look ridiculous," Elion panted. "We look like ants," Cale said. "Ants are strong. They carry fifty times their body weight." "I don't want to be an ant." "Be a termite then. They also carry wood." "Shut up." They reached the stairs. "Okay," Cale said. "This is the crux. We have to go up." "It's narrow. We can't go side by side." "I will go backward," Cale said. "You go forward. We rest the log on the railing if we need a break."

Then she added, "By the way, what did you have planned for today?" I shrugged. "I don't really want to go anywhere. What do you think?" Ria thought for a moment. "Well, if you're not up to going out, maybe we should go shopping or something?" I smiled. "Sounds good." When Aya came out of the bathroom, I told her where we were planning to go. She nodded and then headed for the door. "Where are you guys off to?" she asked. "Shopping," I answered. Aya smiled. "Okay, I'll see you later then."

We didn’t waste another second. The argument vanished instantly as Jasmine and I took off toward the staircase. Side by side, we raced up the stairs, nearly tripping over ourselves in our hurry to reach Gab’s room. Neither of us cared about winning. We were both thinking the same thing. Gab. Please let this be good news.

That must be the exit on the top of the mountain. It felt like we had been climbing stairs for over an hour. This really sucked. “These dragons should really invest in an elevator. I mean really…” Kai said. “They don’t really need one, Kai. I mean, it’s not like they have to walk up these stairs to get to the top of the mountain.” I said back to him. “Oh, right! They can fly.” I rolled my eyes at him.

"Where do we go?" He didn’t answer right away. His gaze flickered between me and Damon, calculating, analyzing their options. The weight of responsibility hung on his shoulders, and I could see it in the tightness of his jaw, the strain in his eyes. “Up,” he said finally. “There’s a higher ledge further back in the cave. We can climb it and wait. Maybe they won’t find us there.”
