MIRA POV “Where are we going.” “Up.” That was all he said. He had said it in Petra’s hallway when I came out with my coat and I had followed him to the pack building and through the side door that took the stairs and now we were going up and he had not added anything to up and I had not asked again.

We had to go up. “You ready for this?” asked Josh, taking another look up at the mountain as he took a quick sip from his water canteen. “I’ll never be ready for this.”

That’s why it’s called Plan B. Time to go.” They stayed close behind me as we went up to the seventh floor. I didn’t know if the carpenters had figured out where we were yet, but I was hopeful we could make it up one flight of stairs without dying.
