Ashes Don't Bleed

Ashes Don't Bleed

My chest burned. Milo. My baby. My joy. My shadow. Gone. I closed my eyes. And wished the sea had taken me, too. But it didn’t. And that meant something. It meant I was still here. Which meant Ethan and Sienna hadn’t finished the job. Which meant I still had something they didn’t expect me to have. Time. And vengeance. Because ashes don’t bleed. But they remember how to burn.

The Wrath of A Luna

The Wrath of A Luna

I saw him step forward, reaching toward me, but before he could take another step, a lightning bolt struck the ground at his feet, forcing him back. I ignored him. I could not stop now. With my eyes clenched shut, I embraced the agony tearing through me as my rebirth continued. “By fire’s kiss and midnight’s breath, Unchain my soul from silent death. Grant me flesh, fierce and new— A vessel strong, a heart untrue. With every scar, I claim my throne. No longer weak. No longer owned. I shall rise, fierce and blessed. Bring them to ruin—lay them to rest.” I bit down hard, tasting blood as I choked on the final verse. The sky responded in fury. A thunderous cascade of deafening roars cracked thr

Lycan King's Hybrid Captive

Lycan King's Hybrid Captive

“Anonymous, but creating massive waves. No one’s seen their face, but their songs are going viral. Not just catchy either. Deep, emotional. Songs that hit people in the gut.” I leaned forward, my heart beating faster. Nathan continued. “Some fans are saying it’s as if the songwriter lived through every heartbreak they sing about. Their latest track dropped two days ago. Top three on global charts within twenty-four hours. Even Lycans are talking about it—and that rarely happens.” “What’s the title?” I asked. "Ashes in the Snow." Something tightened in my chest. Without waiting, Nathan pressed play on his tablet and handed me an earpiece. The music began softly—melancholy piano chords wrapped

Heart in Ashes

Heart in Ashes

Susanna had thoughtfully added audio for full effect. "I've been back for six months. With just a flick of my finger, he's fallen into the palm of my hand. He prepared a blue fireworks show for me tonight. Since I don't like blue, let me give it to you for your anniversary celebration so that it won't go to waste." The crowd erupted in shock. Sophie's face turned pale as panic surged through her. "That bitch Luna! How dare she expose our chat records?"

Echoes in the Ashes

Echoes in the Ashes

Even if it had to be earned, trust started to permeate society. The Dawn Rising One morning, Alexis was atop a hill with a view of the metropolitan skyline as dawn broke. The place was changed when the light reached every nook and cranny. Although it was not flawless—perfection was never the aim—it was full of potential. With a rare grin on his face, Ethan joined her. "You succeeded," he remarked. "We succeeded," Alexis clarified. "And we have only just begun." With its citizens bound together by a common goal, the city has emerged from its worst moments. And despite the fact that difficulties would surely come, they faced the future with a strength that came from overcoming adversity and an

Alpha Ezra’s Little Witch

Alpha Ezra’s Little Witch

"By the flames that take my flesh, I rise anew from fire’s breath. Your hate shall feed my wrath untamed, In death, I live, your souls I claim. As I burn, so shall you, From this pyre, my power grew. The smoke you breathe, the ash you tread, I will return, the unforgiven dead. My blood, my bones, your fuel to light, But in your dreams, I shall ignite. Curse your lands, your lives, your kin, From my ash, the dark begins."

‘Well fuck me, she left’ I thought as I turned to go back to the packhouse. I swiped my hand down my face, that did not go as planned. I had only taken a few steps when I heard someone singing. I didn’t see anyone, so I followed the melody: “Out of the ruins, Out from the wreckage, Can’t make the same mistake this time. We are the children, The last generation, We are the ones they left behind. And I wonder when things are ever gonna change, Living in fear, ‘til nothing else remains. We don’t need another Hero, We don’t need to the way home…” the words to ‘We don’t need another hero’ by Tina Turner floated through the air.

From Roses to Ashes

From Roses to Ashes

It moved farther and farther from the cemetery on the hillside, and farther away from all the love and hatred buried beneath Sicily's soil. Daisy leaned against Caleb's shoulder and looked out the window. The hillsides were covered in blooming irises. The warm breeze never felt better. Her new life had only just begun.

My Rise From The Ashes After Divorce

My Rise From The Ashes After Divorce

I will make myself happy and a man will on be an addition to my happiness. Deep within me, a flicker of resolve ignited. I realized it was time to transform my sorrow into strength. Like those resilient seeds waiting in the ash, I too could rise. It was time to reclaim my life from the frailty of grief and rebuild among the ruins—to pull myself from the ashes of my past and carve out a new beginning, one shimmering with the promise of hope.

Rising from the Ashes

Rising from the Ashes

Troy let out a sudden yelp of frustration, his face contorting with both anger and despair. Ruby, startled, asked, "What's wrong?" Troy's expression was a mix of fury and helplessness as he gestured downward. "See for yourself!" Ruby glanced down and immediately froze, disbelief spreading across her face. Troy had completely deflated—his once enthusiastic presence reduced to a soft, limp failure. The repeated phone calls had dealt a devastating blow, killing the mood entirely. Grabbing his phone with a vengeance, Troy answered, practically shouting into the receiver. "Who the hell is this?"

Reynir Kjartansson
Very good story and the ending was relatively good since each part of the story give a obvious closure. The audio book is also available the whole story. Other authors should follow this example. There is nothing worse than a forced ending or a cut off story, so this story gets all stars, great job!
