We first wandered into a toy shop and I watched as Darius looked lost, glazing over the toys in the shop. “What about these Dollhouse collections?” I asked. “I got her that last year,” he responded. “She stopped playing with dolls now.” “Whoa, growing into a lady now,” I said. Next we went to a jewelry store, and I watched as his eyes glazed over at the array of glittering necklaces and bracelets. I fought back a smile. “No clue, huh?”

Added to that was a plastic bag full of equally numerous room accessories, a rabbit-shaped night light, character pillows, and pastel-patterned blankets.
