A kind-hearted nurse caught her and asked, "What's wrong?" Wendy curled up and replied, "I... I fell in the water. How can I leave like this?" The nurse quickly embraced her, saying, "I'll get you a jacket. Don't cry." Wendy wept profusely, repeatedly thanking the nurse. The nurse felt embarrassed seeing Wendy in such a pitiful state. Wendy always knew her greatest asset was her ability to appear miserable, and she knew how to use it to her advantage. A few minutes later, wearing someone else's jacket, Wendy calmly walked out of the emergency building.

But just as he moved to comfort me, Wendy let out a hysterical scream and pulled out a knife she had hidden away, threatening to cut herself. "I only have Shawn left... Make her get out!" The psychiatrist Dr. Leigh later explained that her aversion to me was a visceral, psychological reaction. Seeing Wendy crying so hard she could barely catch her breath, Shawn held her close, shielding me from her line of sight. "Her emotions are too unstable right now. Rory, you should leave for a bit." I was shoved out the door by two nurses. It was pouring rain outside. No matter how much I knocked, no one answered.

Veronica sighs and grabs the bag. I thought she would throw it out but instead put it deep in the freezer. I give her a questionable look. “Oh, Wendy loves ice cream. I’m quite surprised she didn’t buy gallons. She buys them every month to cry about certain things. Mostly movies. Cries in laughter, of course.” I nod before looking away. Gosh, she’s beyond concerning. I wouldn’t be surprised if she killed someone. She probably scared them to death. Possibly from her driving. Anyone can die from that.

They would have robbed the store and left the town. Finding RK had been the best thing ever. Now he had someone to do the dirty work while he watched Gina's life get ruined. He wanted to break her to the point that she'd never get back on her feet again. He'd do it slowly by slowly until every person in the town went against her. He went down in his basement and looked at the photos of her. She was always very happy, not knowing the pain she caused people by stealing their keys. To him, she was the real psycho. How could anyone keep stealing for fun without thinking of the consequences?

Greg shifted near the window but did not turn around. “Yeah,” Xander admitted. “Standard procedure.” Wendy looked down at her hands. They were wrapped in hospital bracelets that carried her name in bold black letters. It felt strange seeing it there. Like she had become a case study. “You didn’t have to jump in,” she said. He looked at her sharply. “You’re an idiot for saying that.” “You could have…” She stopped. “It was stupid.” “Don’t call it that.” “What else was it?”

She had to do something, and if it meant taking medicine for depression, then that’s what she’d do. “Very well,” Wendy said. “I’ll call my physician today.” But due to her doctor’s busy schedule and Wendy was kind of a friend, he agreed to see her after hours. “How has it been at work... And personally too of course?” the doctor asked. “Great,” Wendy said, her heart warming over the memory of unbelievable bliss with Damon, and at the same hurting with the thoughts of how it had ended between them. “Unfortunately I caught a bit of a bug and can’t seem to shake it.” She said.

Wendy asked, pushing the thermos into the psychologist's hands. "Mr. York is accompanying her for a walk downstairs." "He's such a devoted backburner guy," Wendy muttered under her breath. Then, louder, "How long have they been gone?"

He had a look of serious annoyance on his face. "Wendy said she's sick, so she can't do whatever it is she was supposed to do." Cassie grinned perversely. Randy flipped her the bird and grumbled. Wendy was the prostitute that Randy used, from time to time, as the honeypot to bait a philandering husband. Normally, Wendy was a dynamite act that only the most devoted men could resist, but today she looked like death. Cassie was pretty sure she had the plague.

Much like everyone else from Wendy's life, they weren't the best bunch. Agatha and Robert — Wendy's parents and my kids's grandparent— weren't good, nurturing people. They were selfish and I actually supported Wendy when she said that she wanted nothing to do with them. They treated Wendy like shit and made kinds of comments about her body, about her brain chemistry, etc... and so when we talked about it and Wendy said that she didn't want them around I made sure they wouldn't be. That was until Wendy disappeared and took with her one of the most precious people to me with her.
